Kristin Wiig, of Saturday Night Live fame, is part of a new internet thing-a-majig called Strike.tv. The goal of the site is to take away the studio part of the equation and let creative-types maintain control of their ideas and earn advertising dollars themselves. Their first series stars Kristin Wiig and The Daily Show's Aasif Mandvi as half-a-world-away lovers and is called Global Warming.
It seems like the rumor mill is always working overtime for former-Friends star Jennifer Aniston. Is she back together with musician John Mayer …. Or isn't she? Is she pregnant with their love child…Or isn't she? Is she engaged….Or isn't she? The suspense alone is killing me. Could Jen's publicist -famous for denying rumors-turned-fact- be to blame? (Check out this list of his statements, graciously compiled by USWeekly in 2006. It's an oldie but a goody.) In August, we learned of Mayer's infamous breakup via text message (which is worse than a post-it, if you were wondering). September brought Aniston's affinity for afternoon cocktails and inevitable drunk dialing. The couple reportedly reconvened for a second stint just last week and unless Aniston's drunk words were indeed sober thoughts (and highly compelling thoughts, at that) we're guessing there is more to the story.
Rumor has it that Hollywood's sexiest bachelor is back on with on-again, off-again love, Krista Allen.
Rumor has it that Lindsay Lohan has a little crush on Gossip Girl's Chace Crawford.
Contrary to popular reports, mea culpa, Robert Rodriguez and Rose McGowan are not going to breakup. These 2 macabre sons of guns are going the other way with it: marriage. You heard that right, the kids stays in the picture and Rose McGowan gets a husband. No date has been released regarding their pending nuptials but just the thought that they could make it is exciting enough for us. Grindhouse was weird!
Ever notice that Nelly Furtado looks a lot like Courtney Cox? Yeah. It's a pretty good celebrity lookalike. In addition to her doppelganger status, she also got a secret wedding back in July. That was a year after she and sound engineer Demacio Castellon were engaged, so perfect timing. Also, she has Portuguese citizenship and made an album called Whoa, Nelly!
Halle Berry talks about how she takes the responsibility for her own pleasure in the latest issue of Esquire
Gossip reports that Gisele Bundchen is planning a reception at legendary New York restaurant, Tavern on the Green.
Star Wars siren Carrie Fisher has a new book coming out about her life. The book, Wishful Drinking, is based on a one woman show she's been performing for some time. The gist is that she's had a lot of f*cked up relationships, hooked up with her fair share of Hollywood, and is blamed by her ex-husband for turning him gay. Also, she was in one of the best episodes of 30 Rock to date.
Star of televisions Heroes and many mediocre films, Ali Larter, finally decided to celebrate her engagement. The actress has been engaged to actor and not a legendary general, Hayes MacArthur, since December of 2007 but has had no time to put together an engagement party in the past 10 months. Hmm. The 2 met on the set of a film called Homo Erectus. Good times. No whipped cream bikinis were harmed in the consummation of this relationship, only loin clothes.
