Gwyneth and Chris have been recently spotted together looking pretty smitten with each other, which means they may be headed for reconciliation! Who are some other celeb couples who’ve gotten back together after splitting?
BILLY RAY CYRUS
While most parents might balk at the idea of their 19-year-old daughter getting engaged, Miley Cyrus isn't one of them. According to reports, her parents are thrilled that their daughter is going to tie the knot with boyfriend of three years, actor (and hottie) Liam Hemsworth.
Last week, Billy Ray Cyrus told the ladies of The View that he was calling off his plans to divorce wife of 17 years, Tish. And Tish has confirmed the reconciliation with this message on her Facebook page: "Big Thanks to all of our family, friends, and fans who have kept us in their thoughts and prayers. I feel so blessed to have so much support from all of you. Our family weathered a huge storm. I feel we are stronger than we have ever been!"
Show biz moms are one thing (hello Toddlers and Tiaras!), but show dads are an entirely different breed. From Billy Ray Cyrus to Papa Joe Simpson, there's something inherently creepy about their overinvolvement with their famous daughters and their careers. Who could forget Miley's lovey-dovey Vanity Fair photos or Papa Joe's infamous "Double Ds" comments about daughter Jessica's ample assets? Well, it looks like Papa Joe might be up to his old tricks, at least where his daughters' love lives are concerned. Rumors flew that he was the one who broke up Jessica's marriage to Nick Lachey years ago, and now it appears he may have played a similar role in Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz's demise.
We gotta hand it to the Cyrus clan - they certainly know how to make headlines. First, Billy Ray goes public this week with his claim that Hannah Montana destroyed his family. Now, Miley's supposedly locking lips with none other than John Mayer! What's next? Miley's mom doing the horizontal tango with Bret Michaels? (Oh, wait....)
A lot of fingers have been pointed in the direction of Billy Ray Cyrus since Miley Cyrus started shedding her tween-sensation image. Between nightclub birthday parties, pole-dancing onstage and bong-smoking snaps, plenty of people were wondering where Cyrus' was in the midst of his teenage daughter's many scandals. Apparently he was around, but the situation blew up before he could get a handle on it. Billy Ray sat down with GQ to explain.
Remember, last week, when we reported that Miley Cyrus's parents, Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus, were getting a divorce? Well, thanks to the investigative work of some crafty US Magazine reporters, we now know why. According to the magazine, 43-year-old Tish Cyrus was having a fling with Bret Michaels! (Yes, that Brett Michaels of bandana-wearing, womanizing, Celebrity Apprentice-fame.) Evidently, Tish "pulled out all of the stops" for Bret and "would always show up to the studio in tight jeans and revealing T-shirts and flirt shamelessly." And while some Hollywood guys might be into the idea of having an open marriage, Billy Ray is evidently not one them and immediately filed for a divorce once he found out! “Billy Ray was completely unaware of what was going on,” said a source about the singer, who might just have a reason to get out his guitar and reprise his hit, “Achy Breaky Heart.”
We already thought that Miley Cyrus' parents, Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus, were a bit--how should we put this?--fame-hungry stage parents. So we're not completely shocked by the news from People that Billy Ray and Tish are headed for divorce court after 17 years of marriage.
According to a new Star Magazine report, there's trouble in paradise for Miley Cyrus' parents, Billy Ray Cyrus and the former Tish Finley. "Insiders" claim that since Billy Ray has "gone Hollywood," Tish has become increasingly frustrated and may be looking for an outlet for that frustration. Enter Bret Michaels, who never met a heavily made up blonde he didn't want to "comfort."
Miley Cyrus's 9-year-old sister, Noah Cyrus, and her best friend forever, Emily Grace, are gearing up to debut a children's lingerie collection for Ohh! La, La! Couture on Valentine's Day. That's them oh-so age-appropriately dressed in the picture to the right. Egads! Tell me: Would YOU let your daughters, nieces, sisters dress like that?
Matthew McConaughey and Camilla Alves left son Levi at home so Matt could present the Entertainer of the Year award at last night's Academy of Country Music Awards from Las Vegas's MGM Grand hotel. McConaughey poked fun at his own tendency to go shirtless and ratcheted up the tension before presenting the award by relating an anecdote about charming the ladies of Tyler, Texas, back in 1987 by pretending to be country legend George Strait's custom boot-maker. "We got lucky that night; thank you, George," McConaughey said, to the visible delight of Mr. Strait.
