Like sexual activity, sexually transmitted diseases -- STDs -- are on the rise in the senior community. STDs include genital warts, herpes, gonorrhea, Chlamydia, HIV (the virus that causes AIDS) and others. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, AIDS cases alone among Americans over 50 have quintupled since 1995.
