Comment: I have heard of something similar that happened in the U.S., back in the late 1950s, where a man had hired thugs to throw lye in his ex-girlfriend's face because she had rejected him. She lost her eyesight because of this horrific incident. The ex-boyfriend did prison time. After many years when he was released from prison, these two got back together and married (this couple was on the View not too long ago to tell their story - I wish I could remember their names). Incredible!!

Comment: I have to agree with you Lyz. It is totally so unfair to us women. I don't think we will ever totally get the respect that we so deserve either.

Comment: I would have to say that the most romantic movie of all time (for me, of course), has to be that old classic with Lawrence Olivier and Merle Oberon, called Wuthering Heights. A real masterpiece.
