According to a science report (we picked it up from the crazy sombitches at Asylum), people who feel pressured to be attractive are more likely to fear rejection. While it probably doesn't take the University of Buffalo (or the University of Kent, for that matter) to tell us that people hung up on their looks place a lot of stock in what other people think about their appearance, the study does have some other interesting finds.

Depressing: a study of 2,000 men in Britain found 16% think their wives could use a little nip and tuck, while 6% would like to see a "complete overhaul." Till her refusal of plastic surgery do us part, I guess? A third of men said plastic surgery would spruce up their sex life (um, have you actully felt a fake boob?) and a fifth said plastic surgery could actually save their marriage. Oh, please. A study out of the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, suggests a woman's beauty is a gift from both of her good-looking parents, but a man's facial attractiveness is harder to place. Attractive fathers do not necessarily have attractive sons -- and you can't look to a man's mother to find out if he'll still be eye candy in old age, either.
