It's safe to say that COVID-19 has forever changed the social landscape of the United States — and the world — as we know it. However, there are a few bright spots that have come out of the global pandemic, and one such bright spot is Cardi B's Coronavirus song. 

But it's not quite the music that you think! You see, a few days ago, Cardi B took to her Instagram to release a video about Coronavirus — and, in true Cardi B fashion, she riddled it with her trademark bon mots and lots of profanity, thus providing some much-needed levity to this grave situation. 

And, thanks to an intrepid DJ, that video about Coronavirus not only got a dance remix, but has since gone — wait for it — viral.

So what do we know about Cardi B's Coronavirus song? Let's take a look.  

1. Cardi B's coronavirus song came about thanks to an Instagram video she recorded about the COVID-19 epidemic.

2. DJ iMarkkeyz did a remix of the video. 

When DJ iMarkkeyz came across Cardi B's video, he realized he had to do a remix of it. He said that he had a beat on the ready for it and it didn't take long for him to upload the song to Instagram. "[The beat] was in the tempo of how she said 'coronavirus,' so it kind of matched the beat," he said. He also said that he "had a feeling" Cardi B would hear the song. 

3. Other remixes of the Cardi B coronavirus song have since been released. 

On the strength of the popularity of DJ iMarkkeyz's coronavirus song, other DJ's have thrown their proverbial hat in the ring. Most notably, DJ Snake, who had a hit with the song "Middle" featuring Bipolar Sunshine, also did a remix of the song

4. Cardi B has heard the song — and likes it. 

It didn't take long for Cardi B to take notice of the so-called "coronavirus song." Her Twitter has been filled with references to various people dancing along to, and singing, the song, and she even joked that she should release a music video and collect royalties for it. (But she also said that if she does get royalties off the song, she will donate it to families in need thanks to the financial devastation.) 

5. It's climbing the iTunes charts as of this writing. 

As of this writing, the Cardi B coronavirus song is not only becoming a viral sensation, but it's climbing the iTunes charts. Currently, it's No. 2 on the iTunes U.S. hip-hop charts (behind Roddy Rich's "The Box") and No. 9 overall. And of course, there's a #CoronaVirusChallenge that's currently a top trending topic on Twitter. 

6. The Cardi B coronavirus song has also inspired a viral dance on TikTok.
