I am letting this be my apology for anyone who I may have lost contact with over the years, too, because I guarantee that I will not make an additional effort to get in touch with you to apologize later on.
Sorry, but I won’t. I should preface by saying that I don’t do social media. So, right there, that makes it harder for me to keep in touch with people. I was bad at Facebook and I’m bad at Twitter. Who has time to tweet anymore?!
Maybe it’s just me, but I rarely log on and when I do, it’s to retweet something that makes me laugh and then I’m off for another few weeks.
So, if someone ever wanted to get to know me better or keep in touch, social media would absolutely NOT be the way to do that. Ever.
As for texting and calling, I don’t answer my phone.
Honestly, I know I sound like a terrible person right now, but I don’t like talking on the phone unless it’s an emergency, like if you were at the ABC store and wanted to know how many bottles of wine I wanted (the answer is always at least two bottles). Anyway.
If you’re keeping track, then you know that texting seems to be the last option to keep in touch with me.
But here’s the thing: I will leave my messages and emails unopened until I have a minute to read them and reply, which is not often. So, they end up sitting in my inbox for days. I also have my text messages set up to show what the message is from my lock screen.
So, in my defense, I’ve already read your message… I just haven’t opened it to reply yet.
Again, I’m sorry. But I know that I am not the only person who is like this. In fact, quite a few zodiac signs suck at keeping in touch, for a variety of reasons. Some are constantly busy, but others just plain suck at it and don’t even try to care.
But however they do it, you can almost guarantee that these zodiac signs will never be able to keep in touch with you, no matter what the situation might be.

GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
You think the person who is always on her phone and always posting to her Instagram page would have time to text you back and actually hold a conversation, but that just isn’t the case with Gemini.
She may be chatty when she’s out with friends and she may have great communication with her significant other, but that’s about it. Gemini’s biggest issue with keeping in touch is that she likes living in the present. If she isn’t spending time with you in person, she finds it impossible to stay connected.
Sure, she may like your posts on Twitter or play you on Words with Friends, but that’s the extent of her efforts because chances are, she’s doing all of this while doing something else, too. She’s got things to do and keeping up with you isn’t one of them.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 19)
Sagittarius is the type of person to always tell you that she’ll call you or text you as you’re getting out of the cab after a night out together, but she almost never follows through. Why?
Because she’s already on her way to the next function and if you aren’t invited or don’t follow her Snapchat story religiously, there’s no way you’re going to be able to keep up with her enough to keep in touch.
She tends to bounce around from place to person and back based on how she’s feeling that day. So, just because she says you’ll hang out soon doesn’t mean it’s actually going to happen.
She might even go so far as to make concrete plans with you and put it in her phone, but don’t hold your breath — she’s already forgotten about the plans and has a date set up for the same night. Oops!
CAPRICORN (December 20 - January 19)
Capricorn has a lot of stuff going on in her own life that it almost feels like a waste of her precious time to stop for an hour and chat with an old friend.
Sure, she’s always there with a text and a few emojis when it’s important — like your birthday or a holiday — but that’s about it. And sometimes, she doesn’t even know she’s terrible at keeping in touch; it’s just the way she operates.
The good thing about Capricorn being such a crappy friend to keep in touch with is that she doesn’t expect you to make the effort, either.
You could go all year without talking to her and she’ll still message you on Facebook congratulating you on your new job. It might seem impersonal, but if Capricorn is a friend you want to have, it’s best to just let her do her thing.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarius tries her hardest to be a good friend and keep in touch with the people who matter most to her, but it honestly just hard for her to remember to do everything all the time. She often reads your texts and opens your Snaps, but immediately forgets to reply because something else came up.
She’s a busy bee and she knows it, but she still can’t help it when she leaves you on read. Of course, no one is perfect and Aquarius knows that.
She might forget that she actually did reply to you and, when you reply back and she forgets AGAIN, she might get a little annoyed that you never answered her… even when you did. This weird cycle of phone tag is something you’ll experience a lot with Aquarius, but it’s definitely not for lack of trying to keep in touch.
