Sometimes, you just have to trust your gut.

We all come with a certain degree of perception. Not in the way that we can read minds, but in how intuitive we are and how much we rely upon that intuitive gut feeling. And it's not something our horoscope can easily point out.
Having "psychic" abilities is akin to having an invisible gift, like... a talent. To be able to pick up information out of thin air, based solely on a hunch or a tremor of a feeling is not only a gift many of us have, but one that, when practiced, can become fine-tuned and better.
We might think that perception is a product of an environment that encourages using intuition, rather than brass tacks solutions. Going on a hunch? Trusting one's gut? Well, that's all about intuition and, well... psychic insight. This means that, whether we're brought up in a strict environment that discourages freethinking, or we're the children of some Gypsy fortune teller (as I am), our psychic ability and intuition comes with us, no matter who we are or what we were taught.
Experiencing phenomenon, or that which cannot be explained, is not exclusive to any one kind of person; we're all game for psychic hits and intuitive feelings. What might affect the strength or openness of a person to accept these nuanced feelings inside us could also have something to do with astrology, as some zodiac signs are more prone to be in-tune with their intuitive selves.
Ranked from most psychic (or intuitive) to least, here are the most perceptive zodiac signs and the psychic abilities of each.
1. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Keen, astute and always on the ball, Aries is the first in line to intuit what's really going on. They are laser sharp when it comes to trusting their gut, and of all the signs, there is no one who comes with more psychic ability than the fiery Aries.
Nobody cuts to the chase as quickly as Aries when it comes to perception.
2. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Perhaps it's a fire sign thing, but this particular sign is all about mental analysis and psychic impression. Being that Sagittarius are allergic to BS, that fire of theirs knows how to burn through everything to get to the truth.
Sag gives advice based on gut feelings — and they're always right. Sagittarius are perceptive to a keen degree and can see right into you.
3. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
These folks want to be helpful, and they enjoy being the voice of reason in the crowd, but where they get that reason is not always based on what is seen. Cancer is highly intuitive and able to communicate their knowledge as well, which they do.
If you want to know the truth, ask your Cancer friend — they'll tell you. Guilty of selective perception, they sometimes try too hard.
4. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Very perceptive people, these Gemini are. Sometimes you'll find that Gemini are the strong, silent type. One of the reasons is because they like to retreat into silence to think things out before speaking.
While in that silence, they pick up on intuitive hits, and once processed, they take their knowledge into the world. They process their perception in silence.
5. LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Super-sensitive to the feelings of others, this fire sign is not just good at making a person feel better, they're great at figuring out exactly what it really is that makes you feel down.
Leo is a great friend, and you can trust their words when they tell you that they have a sixth sense about what's going on "out there." Leo is perceptive in ways that will make you love them simply because they really do seem to care.
6. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
This sign of the zodiac is quite aware of what's going on. Virgo may not be able to express themselves as well as they'd like, but their spidey senses are usually spot on; these people can intuit well, and if there's anyone out there who's ready to start their local chapter of Ghost Hunters, it's Virgo.
They not only go for the truth, their perception of the truth is brutally honest. Virgo is dependably honest.
7. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Those born under the sign of Pisces have known psychic phenomena all their lives. They are sensitive to the undercurrents of the human mind, and they pick up very keenly on the invisible emotions that surface now and again.
This doesn't always work for them, however, because they tend to blur the lines between reality and what they think reality is. Sometimes their own perception of life weakens them as they are so sensitive.
8. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Usually a stoic example of "be here now," the strong-minded Taurus is multifaceted when it comes to psychic ability and intuition. Perhaps it's that sturdy physical presence that makes us think there's nothing more to them; however, we couldn't be more wrong.
Taurus is wise beyond their years; they can "see" things. You may not be able to read their minds, but they may be able to read yours!
9. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
As long as they're not disturbed, Libra can go full-on psychic if they let themselves. Libra is a conscientious sign, which means that they are always concerned for the welfare of other people. They want to help, but they have to consciously separate their feelings when it comes to thinking they know what's best and KNOWING what's best, intuitively.
So, perceptive? Yes... but they take their time and think things out before speaking.
10. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarius is rather profound when it comes to intuition. The only problem here is that they don't trust what they intuit. They are good at picking up on signs, but terrible at trusting their own gut.
So, in one way, they excel and could strive for much more, but they self-sabotage by disbelieving in themselves. They often times doubt their own perception, which leaves them feeling confused.
11. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Their sense of practicality always overrides any sense of intuition. So "down to earth" is the Capricorn that even when their gut tells them something is wrong or right, they dismiss all feelings that aren't tangible, physical and practical.
Psychic intuition is a circus act to them, a thing claimed to be real by charlatans. They believe very much in their own take on things. Perception is reality to these people.
12. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
It's not that Scorpio is unaware of the subtle layers that exist within the human mind — they are! It's that they'd rather just do whatever it is that they want to do anyway, even if their better angels tell them not to. Scorpio trusts their gut just fine; the problem isn't in their ability, it's about their distrust of things that can't see.
The shortest distance between point A and point B is a straight line for Scorpio, so why bother trying to "sense" it out? Seeing is believing with this sign. While this sign is highly perceptive, they are also just as prone to ignore their gut instinct and take the road frequently traveled.
