Awful Details Of Jennifer Hudson's Breakup With Boyfriend David Otunga After Accusations He Assaulted Her And Their 8-Year-Old Son

Jennifer Hudson breakup David Otunga

Following Jennifer Hudson and David Otunga's shocking breaking comes allegations of physical assault. The singer reportedly has taken out a protective order against her longtime boyfriend and father of their child, 8-year-old David Jr.

According to The Voice judge, Otunga has exhibited "aggressive, threatening and harassing behavior." In legal documents obtained by TMZ, Hudson also alleges that he got physical with her and David. Jr. this past Wednesday.

While Hudson was at a recording session in Chicago with their son, Otunga called her multiple times without success. He then called their son and asked him to record what was happening at the studio because he believed Hudson was dating one of her producers and he wanted David. Jr. to see that.

The singer denies that claim.

When she and David Jr., returned home, she claims Otunga was visibly angry and grabbed their son by the hand and pushed Hudson out of the master suite. Their son, a makeup artist, and an assistant all witnessed the incident, according to Hudson.

Sadly, Hudson claims this was just the most recent incident in a pattern of escalating and threatening behavior.

Hudson claims that the professional wrestler — who's she's been with for 10 years — has left her living in a state of fear.

Otunga has left a gun and holster on their kitchen counter on occasion, which he said was a movie prop.

"David knows that I am and have been very sensitive to firearms after my mother and my brother were murdered by a firearm," she said. "I believe that he left it out to taunt, intimidate and frighten me, which he absolutely accomplished."

When Hudson was granted the order of protection, cops removed Otunga from the family home.

The couple had been broken up for several months, but they've been negotiating a custody arrangement. Each of them wanted primary physical custody and the negotiations have reportedly fallen apart. But this order of protection gives Hudson exclusive possession of their home and keeps Otunga away from her and their son.

Her custody position asks the judge to give her "significant decision-making responsibilities."

Otunga is denying all the allegations of abuse or aggressive behavior.

His lawyer said that when Hudson realized Otunga would be given the residential care of their son because he's been the primary caregiver while Hudson travels the world pursuing her career, that she filed the order to gain an "unfair advantage."
