Travel is good for the soul. There’s something about getting away and experiencing something new that benefits us in numerous ways. It can open our eyes to other ways of living and it can expand our worldview.
When you travel, you open yourself up to new experiences, new cultures, new traditions, and new people. And the memories that you make when you travel become a part of you and stay with you forever.
For some people, travel is a necessity — not just for their work, but for their piece of mind. If they have the resources, they try to schedule at least one trip (if not more) per year and they do what they need to do schedule-wise and finance-wise to incorporate travel into their lives.
There are those who traveled with their family while growing up and then continued traveling by themselves or with travel companions when they got older. Many people feel that traveling that year between high school and college is a necessity in order to grow. Plus, it can help you to see what is important to you and what you need to focus on in school.
You can be a bare-bones kind of traveler who stays in hostels and buys food in local grocery stores, or you could be someone who prefers five-star hotels and fancy meals. The local architecture and art scene could be on the top of your list of things to see and do, or you might be someone who prefers to live with a family and stay for a while, getting to know local customs and traditions.
You may be an armchair traveler who never ventures physically to another country, but in your imagination, you travel the globe. And your horoscope can sometimes take you there by giving you insight into what your next plan of action should be.
Some zodiac signs are major travelers, while others may not place as much importance upon it. Here are the zodiac signs who love to travel, ranked from most to least.
1. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarians truly live to travel. They're the kind of people who are planning their next trip as they're coming home from another. They have wanderlust bad. Short trips don't do it for them, and they'd rather lose themselves in a country and its customs and traditions. For Sagittarians, travel is a release from tension and going somewhere new always helps to put things in perspective for them.
While they're people persons, they do like to get away from the crowds and just enjoy nature, so it's not unlike them to pick a remote place where they can camp and trek to their heart's desire. They'd rather see where the wind takes them rather than have a concrete plan.
2. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries think of all travel as an adventure and as something to be conquered. They're very active travelers and tend to prefer to travel solo — they can't stand having to slow down for someone else. Aries love exploring non-touristy places and if their destination includes some form of physical activity whether it is rock climbing, scuba-diving, waterfall jumping, hiking, and/or biking, so much the better.
Aries will do anything and everything that opens up for them. There isn't any kind of travel that they can't benefit from.
3. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorns get excited at the planning stages of a trip and it just escalates from there. They love to travel and they try not to limit themselves to certain kinds of trips. One year, they may go to the beaches of Bali; the next, a car trip across the country, stopping whenever they feel like it.
If a Capricorn makes an elaborate plan, they'll be determined to see it executed perfectly. They'd rather limit their trips and travel first class than stay in hostels and eat cheap food.
4. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarians have a strong social conscience, so they tend to prefer going to places where they can possibly do some good and they also enjoy nature trips. If it's seeing the Northern Lights or staying in a shack in Hawaii, they like to keep things eco-friendly and green.
Aquarians tend to not stay in one place for too long as they can get bored. The more they can see, do and learn, the better the trip is for them.
5. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis tend to enjoy traveling with other people to places with a strong sense of culture and tradition. It's not unlike Gemini to completely submerge themselves in local customs. They do best on tours where they see a lot of different places, rather than really getting to know a place.
They'd be more interested in going to a museum or a performance than zip-lining or hiking. They'd love the type of group tour where they could have discussions about what they've seen and tasted.
6. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos do their homework before they head off on a trip. They know exactly what they want to see and do, and if something happens so their schedule gets off course, the Virgo individual is completely thrown. If something isn't to their liking — such as if their room doesn't measure up to the picture on the internet — they'll complain bitterly until they're satisfied.
They can be spontaneous as long as they're not completely unfamiliar with it. They need to travel so that they don't get stuck in a rut of their own making.
7. LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leos think of traveling as if it was a big party. They enjoy music and theater festivals where they can be immersed in a culture. They do enjoy a certain standard of luxury but won't grumble too much if it can't be found.
They're wonderful traveling companions and their upbeat and enthusiastic attitude can make nearly anything fun.
8. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus like to travel in high style — they don't enjoy roughing it. They love nature but they'd rather go glamping than camping. When they travel, they want their hotel to be exquisite with a gorgeous view, high thread-count sheets, and luxury surroundings, but they want it at a discount.
If they can find a way to have it all and save money, then they're in heaven. They will use any coupon, any discount that they can because saving money on a trip makes it that much better.
9. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancers like to travel but they tend to like to stay home as well. If they can have all the comforts of home while traveling, then they've hit the jackpot. They enjoy getting lost in a new place because it really allows them to explore.
It's a good thing they don't freak out if they don't know exactly where they're going because they tend to get lost often and always need a variety of guidebooks, Google Maps, and apps. They also have no problem asking for advice from the locals and have found some of their favorite activities and restaurants that way.
10. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libras enjoy traveling but usually, their traveling has a specific purpose: to see family or for work. If they have to go to a foreign country and their job pays for everything, they'll try to add in a little extra time for sight-seeing and fun.
For the single Libra traveler, there's always some hope that they'll have a romantic interlude when traveling. Isn't a brief love affair in Paris practically a law? Libras love visiting locations from romantic movies in their travels, and when they travel home for the holidays, they always go to their favorite places growing up. Travel is connected to emotion and nostalgia for Libras.
11. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios enjoy traveling, it's just that they don't enjoy the hiccups of traveling. They can't stand it when something goes wrong — they're bumped off a flight, or the plane circles around an extra hour before landing, or their hotel reservation is lost.
When everything goes as planned, Scorpios couldn't be happier being somewhere new, and they especially love coastal towns and places with old-world charm, as long as they can still get their devices to work. Scorpios tend to over-pack and over-plan, which makes traveling harder rather than easier.
12. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces tend to enjoy their travels in retrospect. They love looking at their Instagram, blog posts, and videos at home. Traveling can cause a sensory overload for Pisces and they need to schedule in some alone time so they can decompress and collect their thoughts.
However, travel is important for them because of the way it inspires their creative mind. Pisces are the kindest people one can ever encounter and their kindness doesn't stop at their home turf. They will give money to the homeless wherever they go and if they see an injured animal, they will search for a vet to take care of it.
Pisces don't need to stay in the finest hotels; as long as a place is clean and without bedbugs, they're happy. They also are very willing to do whatever it is that the person they're traveling with wants to do; in fact, they will appreciate not having to plan things or make decisions.
