It happened so fast.

Uncovering the identity of a kidnapping suspect is hard enough, but imagine if you had to figure out who the victim was too.

That's the obstacle Los Angeles police are currently facing after discovering a security video that showed an unknown woman being thrown into a car by an unknown man in an alleged kidnapping incident. Police were tipped off about the crime after receiving a 911 call about a woman screaming.

In the video, you see a light gray sedan — possibly a Chrysler 200 — drive in reverse down a street full of cars parallel parked around 11:50 a.m. Sunday night.

The car parks and a man gets out of the driver's seat and approaches a woman walking down the sidewalk.

Just moments after approaching her, you see the man grab the woman, pick her up and force her into the passenger seat.

In the footage, you can see the woman attempting to fight back — at one point even getting out of the car — but she's ultimately overpowered and pulled back inside the vehicle.

After police released the video, a witness came forward who claims to have seen the whole thing unfold.

She said she heard the woman screaming through the car as she tried to get away.

“She was saying 'No, no, leave me alone. Please help me. Someone help me!'” said the witness. “I said: 'Hey stop! Let go. Leave her alone.' And you could hear the girl bang on the window hard saying: 'Please let go of me' and crying.”

The witness, who did not want to be identified, also said that she was disgusted that other cars passed by and did nothing.

Though they first thought it was just one man in the car, police now believe there was another person inside who assisted in the abduction.

Officers are asking anyone with information about the incident to come forward. The car had a Texas license plate, possibly with the first three numbers "763." They believe one of the suspects is a man in his 20s, about 6 feet tall, weighing 200 pounds.

Police urge anyone with information to call detectives at (323)786-5447 or 1-877-LAPD-24-7. Anonymous calls can be made to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
