Pluto is the planet of transformation.

On Thursday, September 28th, Pluto will turn direct after five months of retrograde action. That's right, Pluto turns direct and is about to wreak havoc.
Pluto is a minor planet on the outermost edges of our solar storm so why should you care that it is turning direct this week? Because ready or not, life as we know it is over.
Pluto is known as the Lord of the Underworld. It’s a dark, mysterious planet that sees through (quite frankly) our BS. It tears apart what we clung to out of security and laughs at the plans that we made, all the while rearranging our lives so drastically that we will hardly recognize them.
Think back to April — to your views about career, relationships, love, or even spirituality, and then consider where you are today. For the majority of us, I bet you never dreamed possible the reality that you’re now experiencing, and this is thanks to Pluto.
The thing with Pluto is that he gets a bad rap, technically not even being a planet according to astronomers. But it doesn’t mean that he’s any less powerful when it comes to stirring up the pot in our own lives.
To understand the true significance of Pluto we first have to look at what 2017 is really supposed to be all about. We are in a beginning year; it was a powerful time of eclipses and rare astrological events all designed to shake up our lives so that we could redirect our course. But nothing about that is easy.
So many of us say that life is hard but then seem to expect that the lessons will be easy when the truth is that anything meant to teach us something will require some difficulty. During the past five months, the Lord of the Underworld propelled us all further into ourselves to get real about who we are and who we were born to be.
And now is like the final reveal of what we’ve been working on behind the scenes all along.
It’s going to seem a little chaotic. After all, how can you prepare for something you never expected? Many of us will see some final endings of some sort within the next few weeks because some things or relationships will have just run their course. Pluto likes transformation and in many ways that also means endings.
No one likes goodbyes but there also isn’t any way to get a new beginning until we do.
Once we experience when Pluto turns direct, the gloves come off and we step up to the proverbial plate of our lives. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been single or married for thirty years, or unemployed or running your own start-up, because each and every one of us is going to be front and center in our own lives with the heat turned up high. It’s time for all of us to make a decision.
Are we going to pretend that the past five months never occurred or will we take that next step towards greatness? There are so many quotes about what it takes for us to have the lives we want and how in so many ways we have to be willing to risk it all in order to get what we’ve always wanted. Nothing worthwhile comes easy or fast for that matter, so while these lessons we’re currently absorbing have taken almost half the past year to learn, we’re also nearing the end point of that phase as well.
Remember when you were young and your mom had to take the Band-Aid off your scraped elbow and she said she was going to do it fast because it hurt the least? Well, that’s what this week is all about.
Thursday we will be all ripping that Band-Aid off a wound that we let ourselves tend to for far too long. Sometimes we just have to close our eyes and do it, knowing that we don’t always need to have each and every step figured out in order to know that it’s time to start something new.
Because we are now in Libra, this astrology will play more into relationships than those aspects of our professional lives. Libra is the sign of relationships and balance and so when Pluto the governing planet of depth and intimacy turns direct there will be a lot of focus on those areas of our close personal relationships, including our primary relationship.
Our primary relationship is the most significant in our lives and usually is also a romantic relationship with a partner or soulmate. Because of the depth of Pluto we’ve been asked during these past few months exactly what intimacy means for each of us and how to cultivate it for further growth. This means the areas our relationships are working in will become extremely obvious as well as those areas where it isn’t.
Not every relationship is meant to last forever and we will be seeing some sudden breakups and changes in direction. Around the new moon, we looked at how karma was balancing our relationships, which was leading to an increase in the number of engagements that we will see from now until the end of the year.
The direct motion of Pluto could also be a huge catalyst for those types of proposals as well, as long as during the past five months we allowed ourselves to truly get to the depths of what we want.
The reality is that the hard part is over. There may be some moments that are uncomfortable or decisions that need to be aired and plans that need to be arranged, but overall we did it — we succeeded in diving through our own personal depths and now we are going to see what remains when everything else falls away.
Be prepared for the unexpected, the sudden, and even the impossible because the one promise that Pluto makes when he turns direct is that your new reality will be better than you ever could have dreamed.
