According to astrology, there are a select few zodiac signs who are more likely to have addictive personalities. Whether it's to things like food, music or exercise, or to more serious things like alcohol or drugs, many of us struggle with some sort of addiction on a regular basis.

Addiction can come in many different forms and in varying degrees of seriousness.

For example, we all know that being addicted to drugs and alcohol and the like is super serious, but what about that Starbucks you get every morning? Or the freezer at home that’s stocked with ice cream all the time?

These kinds of things don’t seem like addictions to us, but try to go a day without coffee or sugar, and you’ll see how much you crave it.

My vice is coffee. I need to have at least one cup a day, otherwise I get a massive headache.

I know that I could just as easily get my caffeine from black tea or soda, but coffee is and always will be my home girl. Plus, it’s the only thing that keeps me awake when I’m having an especially boring morning at work.

You can tell that some people have addictive personalities when they constantly become obsessed with something; that something being a new video game, a new drink at Starbucks, a new food they can dip in chocolate… it doesn’t matter what it is they’re obsessed with.

What matters is that once this person gets hooked on a new thing, it’s impossible for them to let go.

Now, being obsessed with something and being addicted to it are two totally different things.

Like I said, I’m addicted to my morning coffee, but I’m obsessed with eating salmon. Am I addicted to salmon? Not really. I can go months without eating it, but coffee? Going months without coffee would turn me into the grouchiest person on EARTH.

Plus, having an addiction to eating salmon would probably be weird to admit out loud.

But what makes someone’s obsession turn into an addiction is when they can’t imagine living without that chocolate-covered, coffee-flavored thing. That is when you know they’re in trouble.

This addiction is equal parts for comfort and for energy – on the days he’s not getting sleep or sex – but those excuses don’t change the fact that this addiction has become his routine.

A giant coffee for breakfast, some ice cream before bed, and a whole bunch of snacks and meals throughout the day is his way of getting through stressful days at work and lazy weekends.

GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)

Gemini constantly has to be connected to people, no matter where he is or what he’s doing. He’s the type of person to have a social media account for pretty much every platform out there – including ones you’ve never heard before.

On top of being addicted to social media, though, he’s also addicted to getting likes, reblogs, mentions, you name it – he NEEDS to be validated.

This addiction can stand in the way of a lot of experiences he should be experiencing (like face-to-face contact), but instead, his face is constantly in his phone.

Being addicted to social media is something that is seen as normal and common nowadays, but c’mon Gemini, you HAVE to tweet at 3 in the morning?!

LEO (July 23 - Aug 22)

Leo loves the limelight, so it’s only natural that he would want to dress for it. That way, he can always look good when he’s being seen by others.

This is where his addiction to shopping comes from; if he’s going to be the center of attention, he might as well dress nice, right? Of course, this is a VERY expensive addiction, but that doesn’t stop him from hitting the mall every weekend.

Watches, shoes, designer clothes – Leo wants it ALL. He especially loves the finer things in life because it gives him a reason to brag about what he’s wearing when people compliment him.

Scorpio definitely makes this addiction seem manageable, but he forgets that it’s still an addiction – which means when he IS ready to settle down, it can be harder to step away from his own ways than he thinks it’ll be.
