If you were a character in a novel or a screenplay, it would be a lot easier to figure out what it was that drove you forward. Unfortunately, it’s not so easy to tell what it is that we seek in our lifetimes. Even our horoscopes cannot predict a long-term goal.
What is the one thing that shapes the quality of your life, gives you purpose, and makes you feel whole?
We all seek different things. For some, it may be love; for others, it could be harmony. If the thing you need above all else clashes with your partner’s, there will be structural damage in your relationship, like when an earthquake has caused the foundation of your house to crack. The house will be unstable if the crack isn’t repaired or completely replaced.
When you know what it is that you’re ultimately looking for, you can become focused and you don’t get consumed by the things that don’t matter. As with a fictional character, you have something to work toward and that something is usually the thing that causes you the most growth.

You may think that air to breathe, food to eat, and some kind of shelter is all you need to survive but that’s not necessarily true. We all need something to keep us going, a want that forces us to get up in the morning and carry on. You can't just do okay, you've got to do the best and you need to keep challenging yourself in order to stay interested, excited, and stimulated. As long as you keep trying to do better, you'll always stay engaged and excited about what life has to offer.

You need to have a comfortable home, good food, and lovely surroundings. You need them and you'll do whatever you must to do to get them. You probably wouldn't survive if you didn't indulge yourself from time to time. You're willing to work hard for what you want so it all balances out.

GEMINI: Connection

You need to feel like people understand you and the stimulation that comes from communicating with another person. You need to express your feelings, ideas, and experiences and know that others "get" you. There's no better feeling for you than when you connect with another person. It doesn't matter if you debate, rant, or simply explain, you need to share with other people.

CANCER: Compassion

You need to feel that your feelings are valid and that those closest to you understand not only what you're going through but why you feel as you do. You want them to empathize, to feel what it's like to be in your shoes and to see things from your point of view. You need others to treat you with sensitivity and kindness.

You don't just want others to be devoted to you or to only look up to you, you want them to revere you and hold you in high esteem. You know that you're a shining star but you need that validation from others to really thrive. You need to be the best at what you do. You don't have to kill at everything, just the things that you're interested in.
