Could you handle it?

I’ve never been a huge fan of dating. I feel like it’s way too hard to find someone you’re totally compatible with right up front and even then, it can be impossible to tell if that person really is for you until later on.
Maybe it’s just me, but casual relationships always seemed like the better option. You don’t really even have to like each other that much to have a casual relationship with it, if you think about it.
It can just be about sex or, if you’re not the dating and sex type of person at all, you can just focus on making new friends.
But unlike making friends — which doesn’t come with even half the pressure going on dates does — when you date, you’re really looking for someone you can spend quite a lot of time with.
Like I said, I’m not a huge fan of dating, but I’m especially opposed to the first date.
The first date is when you’re really supposed to get to know someone in and out, right? Well, that has NEVER worked for me.
I’ve been on first dates where all we did was see a movie (not really conducive to talking to each other) and I’ve been on first dates where the other person can barely hold a conversation (don’t listen to anyone who says older men are better at serious relationships).

My point is, dating is really hard. And unless you were born with an ability to read minds or magically attract the right person on the first try, it can be like trying to find a needle in a haystack when you look for that person.
Wouldn’t it make sense, then, to just date yourself? No, not really yourself, but definitely someone just like you.
Sure, there would be hard times, but that’s true for every relationship, romantic or not.
But what would make it easier to date someone just like you is that you could skip trying to read their mind when they’re upset or understand what they’re going through because chances are, you’re dealing with the same thoughts and feelings.
Of course, depending on the type of person you are (and what your zodiac sign is), it might not be all that easy to date someone with the same sign as you.

ARIES (Mar 21 - Apr 19)
It’s safe to assume that the only sign that can handle Aries is another Aries, simply because of what we all know to be true about her.
When an Aries dates another Aries, the relationship is full of encouragement because no one understands how much an Aries needs to go her own way like hers own sign.
That said, Aries is known to be hot-headed, which is only amplified when she’s in a relationship. If she were dating any other sign, it might be different, but with another Aries, it’s a constant battle between two rams.

TAURUS (Apr 20 - May 20)
Taurus is crazy romantic in general, but when she dates another Taurus, you get mind blowing, constant sex.
There might be some conflict when it comes to who gets to pay for dinner or who gets to buy flowers for the other, but these “fights” are just ways to make the other feel special.
Of course, you can’t expect the bull not to be stubborn, which is exactly what happens in a Taurus-Taurus relationship. This stubbornness can last a very long time because Taurus hates being the one to back down from something.

GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Gemini can often have a hard time making decisions, which doesn’t just stop at whether she wants sushi or tacos for dinner.
If Gemini goes off on her own to do something she isn’t sure her significant other is going to approve of, she might feel stuck about whether she should share it or not.
This is especially hard when there’s two Geminis in a relationship because the unpredictable nature of both of them can make for a lot of mixed feelings.
That said, this pair is amazing at communication, so no matter what the other is going through, Gemini is able to get to the bottom of anything just by talking it out.

CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
No one understands Cancer’s need to take care of someone in a relationship quite like Cancer does, which makes this dating duo one of the most stable of the zodiac.
Cancer loves nurturing the other, making sure that even without words, her feelings of love are being expressed.
Of course, this constant nurturing and “I love you more. No, I love you more” type conversations can get old fast. It’s important for Cancer to have a life outside of her relationship (especially with another Cancer) so that this constant love doesn’t turn into full-on smothering.

LEO (July 23 - Aug 22)
It should come as no surprise to you that Leo is a straight-up attention whore, both in her daily life and her dating life.
This constant need for affection and attention doesn’t seem as bad when she’s dating the right person, but in a relationship with another Leo, you can’t help but wonder how these two needy people work well together.
The answer is this: respect. Leo has the most respect for herself (obviously), so when it comes to her Leo counterpart, respect comes easy.
Her significant other might be in a needy mood or be acting totally dramatic, but because Leo can relate to these big moods, she knows how to handle anything Leo-related expertly.

VIRGO (Aug 23 - Sep 22)
Virgo is one of the most dedicated signs when it comes to making a relationship last and work.
She’s the type of person who will go through months of sh*t with her significant other because she believes in sticking with the hard times where most people would bail at the first sign of trouble.
That said, when a Virgo dates another Virgo, she has very high expectations of how her significant other should act. Thinking that they are merely an extension of her, she assumes that her mind can be read.
Virgo can be very critical towards another Virgo, which only makes it harder for her to keep up this strong foundation.

LIBRA (Sept 23 - Oct 22)
When Libra dates a Libra, there is a lot of cute behavior going on that would make even the biggest non-believer of love say “aww.”
They often leave each other little gifts to find during the day, send sweet texts to each other, and even play fight over who gets to cook dinner.
However, Libra will still go to great lengths to make sure that nothing bad ever happens in her relationship, which means that arguments are often swept under the rug.
So, even if there’s some tension between Libras, they would both rather stay superficial than fact the difficult stuff.

SCORPIO (Oct 23 - Nov 21)
There's no denying the immense passion Scorpio has in any relationship, but when she's dating another Scorpio, this passion and thirst for affection is tenfold.
A Scorpio-Scorpio relationship is very physical, rather than being emotional, because this is the best way they know how to connect with each other.
But even though you might think dating a Scorpio when you ARE a Scorpio means there's less of a chance for them to get jealous, you're sadly mistaken.

Aquarius understands the importance of being open-minded in a relationship because she knows firsthand what it’s like to not be understood easily.

However, as much as this may seem like a match made in heaven, Aquarius is still Aquarius... which means that she’s known for being emotionless when it counts.

PISCES (Feb 19 - Mar 20)
Pisces sees relationships as living in a beautiful dream world where there’s nothing but happiness and love. When she dates a Pisces, the two of them make relationships look easy, thanks to the rose-colored glasses they wear.
Unfortunately, wearing these rose-colored glasses only means that important things are ignored.
She would rather overlook an argument or indiscretion to save the relationship instead of facing the hard sh*t head on.
