Details: Morning Joe's Mika Brzezinski Responds On Twitter To Trump's Claims About Her Facelift Bleeding & Plastic Surgery

After the President tweeted that she was "bleeding badly from a face-lift."

Other than delaying a planned vacation with her fiancé and co-host Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski is A-Okay, thank you very much.

But after President Donald Trump used Twitter to personally attack her appearance, she doesn't think the country is doing quite as well.

During a segment of her show "Morning Joe" that aired Thursday, June 29, 2017, Brzezinski joked about how the current president reportedly hung a fake "Time" magazine cover of himself in his golf resort in Miami.

Watch the video below:

After the show, Trump took to Twitter to air his many, many grievances.

Trump claimed Scarborough and Brzezinski repeatedly tried to get an interview with him at his New Years Eve party at his Palm Beach golf resort, Mar-a-Lago, but that he refused, adding that Mika was "bleeding badly from a face-lift" and describing her as "low I.Q. Crazy Mika."

"I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don't watch anymore). Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came.."

"...to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year's Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!"

Scarborough also insisted that the President's implied claim that he controls the National Enquirer and that they called on him to stop a bad article from coming out in the publication is a lie.

"Watched low rated @Morning_Joe for first time in long time. FAKE NEWS. He called me to stop a National Enquirer article. I said no! Bad show"

Scarborough's reply:

"Yet another lie. I have texts from your top aides and phone records. Also, those records show I haven't spoken with you in many months."

In an op-ed the couple wrote for The Washington Post, they called his accusations "laughable" and explained their side of the story in detail:

"The president-elect invited us both to dinner on Dec. 30. Joe attended because Mika did not want to go. After listening to the president-elect talk about his foreign policy plans, Joe was asked by a disappointed Mr. Trump the next day if Mika could also visit Mar-a-Lago that night. She reluctantly agreed to go. After we arrived, the president-elect pulled us into his family’s living quarters with his wife, Melania, where we had a pleasant conversation. We politely declined his repeated invitations to attend a New Year’s Eve party, and we were back in our car within 15 minutes."

This morning on their show, Brzezinski told viewers that she is fine.

"My family brought me up really tough. This is absolutely nothing for me personally. But I am very concerned as to what this once again reveals about the President of the United States."

Fiancé Scarborough chimed in as well.

"We’re OK, the country’s not," Scarborough said. "Yesterday was just another example of how deeply personal he is. He attacks women because he fears women."

Scarborough and Brzezinski claim that top members of the White House staff warned them that the "Enquirer" was going to publish a negative article about them — unless they called President Trump to have the story shelved. They said they were told repeatedly that if they apologized to the President for their negative coverage of him, he would intervene on their behalf and stop the story.

"We ignored their desperate pleas," the engaged co-hosts wrote.

The National Enquirer defended the co-hosts statements, confirming there have been zero discussions about the matter between the publication and the White House.

“At no time did we threaten either Joe or Mika or their children in connection with our reporting on the story,” said Dylan Howard, Vice President of American Media, Inc., the Enquirer’s publisher.

The couple also asserted that while Brzezinski has had some minor plastic surgery, she has never had a face-lift.

"She did have a little skin under her chin tweaked, but this was hardly a state secret. Her mother suggested she do so, and all those around her were aware of this mundane fact."

And now, in an interview with Vanity Fair, Mika says that when she did stop by Trump's exclusive club on New Years' Eve, he couldn't stop raving about the work she had done.

“The irony of it all is that Donald kept saying, ‘That’s incredible. You can’t even tell. Who did it? Who did it?’ He kept asking for the name of the doctor. He literally asked 10 times. ‘Is he down here? Who is he?’” Scarborough recalled."

On her show this morning, Brzezinski emphasized, "I’m pretty transparent about what I do, and I think it looks awesome."

Agreed.
