Have you committed the most offensive workplace act?

You need to behave yourself in the office, right? Everyone knows that there are certain workplace rules to adhere to.

When you work closely with other people, you have to sort of rein it in and act a bit differently than you would at home. There are certain norms like wearing headphones when you listen to music, cleaning out your old leftovers from the fridge, and using your inside voice when having private conversations.

You don’t want to be offensive to your co-workers. But what IS the most offensive thing you can do at work?

This recent survey figured it out. What is it? Masturbating!

That’s right, masturbating at work is not only offensive but it’s an actual issue that comes up in real life. Seriously?!

This survey asked about 1,000 people to spill their secrets on dirty work habits.

In the survey, both men and women agreed that masturbation was the most offensive act. However, when it came to other offensive acts, there was more of a split between genders. Women were twice as likely to say that watching explicit videos was the most offensive act, while five percent were more likely to say that hooking up with a co-worker was offensive.

However, men were nine percent more likely to think that consuming drugs and alcohol at work was the most offensive. And it was more men who thought that eating someone else’s food at work was the most offensive act that someone could commit.

Even though masturbation was deemed the most offensive workplace behavior, the survey found that ten percent of people have actually done it before, some more than once.

One in ten men said that they had masturbated at work before, while only five percent of women made time for private fondling.

Of the people who pleasured themselves at work, less than a quarter of them said that it only happened once. However, forty percent of people said that they have done it multiple times over the course of their careers. I guess it does help to relieve stress after all.

Most people said that masturbating at work left them feeling pretty rebellious and excited, but a few reported feeling embarrassed or uncomfortable afterward.

I would be in the embarrassed camp because for the life of me I just can’t figure out why you would cut down your lunch break to go do something that you could take care of at home. A girl has got to eat!
