Bubble 'Porn' Is 100 Percent Clean, But Somehow Still So Dirty

WTF?

There’s a bizarre and hilarious trend in pornography — if it can even be called that — and its name is “Bubble Porn.”

This downright crazy “porn” isn’t actually dirty naked people at all. It simply uses a Swiss cheese-like overlay to put over images and videos of people that seems to hint at something not quite right going on.

When the overlay is lifted, however, you can see that it was just your dirty mind playing tricks on you all along.

So while this is called “porn,” there’s actually nothing pornographic about it at all. It simply gives your brain the opportunity to create the illusion of nudity or sex by tricking it with the overlay. It can take something that’s perfectly innocent and suddenly turn it into something downright filthy. Well, at least from your perspective, that is.

So just how did this ridiculous trend begin? It would seem that it originally began in Japan in the early 2000s when fans of Japanese female idols made “10-yen collages,” in which they covered swimsuit photos with 10-yen coins to make the women appear naked.

Though the images originally started with coins, they began to spread and leak outside of the single message board it started on, and eventually people began to create “circle effect” image generators so that others could make the pictures on their own.

Thus, “bubble porn” began, and continued to spread. People call it many different names, including “bubbling” and “Mormon porn,” but “bubble porn” is recognizable anywhere, regardless of what it’s called.

Though bubbling was a popular way to doctor up a fully-dressed photo to make it look like the person within was completely nude, it’s even crazier to watch in action now that people are actually putting it to video use. These videos are amusing to watch, but taken out of context could appear extremely, 100 percent NSFW, so choose wisely who to watch them around.
