Are the stars onto something?
Everybody has something that the people in their life find annoying, usually more than one thing. But our friends and family love us despite our flaws and eccentricities because they know that we're ignoring the quirks that make them peculiar in their own way.
We confront each other on some of these idiosyncrasies, and others we don't. I like the toilet seat down and have successfully trained the two males I live with to keep it down. They may not understand why I need to have it down but rather than make a huge deal about it, they put it down. While this isn't a personality quirk per se, it does show that I like certain things done a certain way.
I had a roommate once who would respond with "Are you serious?" to almost anything anyone said. The incredulous way he said it made even more annoying, but I never told him how much it bugged me when he said it. We weren't close and I didn't feel like bringing up something that could cause more tension in our living situation.
Now, you should be careful about what you bring to someone's attention as you don't want to be unnecessarily hurtful. I had a boyfriend who was a terrible kisser and I never told him. Looking back, I see now that not saying anything was the beginning of the end of our relationship as bad kissing is kind of a dealbreaker. However, I did let him know that when he spoke in a fake English accent for no reason that it was irritating and pointless.
The point is, we all have things that we want to change about others and things they want to change about us, but we can go our wholes lives being unaware that our love of arguing gets on our friend's and family's nerves.
We get that competition gets you going, but do you have to be competitive about everything and everyone, Aries? When everything becomes about winning, you suck some of the joy and fun out of the experience. Sometimes you just need to enjoy the ride rather than focusing on coming in first place.
When you decide to dig your heels in, watch out! There's no changing your mind when you get stubborn, Taurus. You're difficult to deal with when you obstinate and people get so afraid of pissing you off that they don't express what they're thinking or feeling. Try being a little less hardheaded and a little more open and flexible.
While it's well known that Gemini is the sign of the twins, not everybody knows that there are two sides to your personality and one never knows which one they're going to get. It can be confusing when one minute you're effervescent and talkative, and the next way more serious. You don't have to be one way all of the time; just make each side less intense and more unified. You'll never be boring, even if you're more consistent.
It's great that you're so in touch with your emotions, Cancer, but sometimes it can feel as if one is walking on eggshells with you because you're so touchy. Being sensitive is great but being hypersensitive isn't, so try to toughen up a little and not make every little comment an insult.
You're a natural leader and everyone knows it, so you don't have to prove it all the time and make other people feel as if they're lacking in some way. Be confident and lead, Leo, just don't throw it in other people's faces because that gets old.
Virgo, you tend to come across as unfeeling and cold even though that's not how you are at all. You're just trying to guard yourself from pain and rejection. You may find that if you let down your guard a little and let people in, you still may get hurt, but you also won't miss out on a lot of good things such as warmth, affection, and connection.
When you're at a party, you spend so much time making and talking to new friends that you sometimes ignore the friends you already have and in the process make your friends feel as if they don't matter to you. Remember that adage to make new friends but keep the old? Make spending time with your old friends a priority and then add in your new ones, Libra.
You're the sh*t and everyone knows it, so when you act like you're better than everyone it can be off-putting, Scorpio. It's clear that you project this kind of self-centeredness to hide your insecurities, but it's OK to let people see past your bravado to the real you.
It's charming the naive view you have of the world, but the world is a dangerous place and you could find yourself in a scary situation if you don't make yourself aware of the potential dangers, Sagittarius. Don't confide your deepest secrets to strangers that you've just met and don't assume that everyone has your best interests at heart.
You enjoy having a routine and doing things a certain way, and if something or someone should cause a variance, you can get bent out of shape. You can be too rigid, Capricorn, and it's this refusal to try or do new things that often gets you into a rut. You'll find if you start being a little more flexible that you'll discover that change can be rewarding and stimulating.
Most of the time you're pretty easy-going and open to almost everything, but sometimes you feel as if you're too easy-going and you say a differing opinion just so you won't be one of the crowd. Be assured, it doesn't matter if you are just like everybody else, you'll always stand out from the crowd, Aquarius. There's no way to hide the unique individual you are and you don't have to pretend to be different.
You can be challenging to pin down, Pisces. You'll make plans and then cancel at the last minute or agree to do something that you don't want to do. Try being more honest with yourself and others. If you have no intention of going to that party, just let them know you can't attend. It's so much better for the host or date to know in advance if you're not going to make something.
