How do you react when someone tells you "no"?
The word "no" has a lot of power. Remember when you were a small child and the power you felt by saying it constantly? It can become more difficult as we get older to say that tiny little word, but when you do say it, you still feel the power that you once did.
Saying "no" can protect us, and it can help us to center in on what it is that we really like or want to do. "No" lets us stand up for ourselves but it's not always the popular answer as it can upset people and get us into trouble. If someone asks you if you studied for a test or if you mailed in your taxes, "no" can lead to negative complications. Sometimes it's just easier to say "Yes."
We might be comfortable with saying "no," but not so with being told "no." For some people, just hearing "no" enrages them. They may hear "no" but do what they want anyway, or they can try to pry a "yes" out of the person they're asking.
What does hearing a "no" make you feel?
"No" is often interpreted as being rejected or being denied, but most of the time it's really not that personal. Being told "no" can be about safety, not being right for the job, or an indication that things have come to a natural conclusion.
"No" doesn't have to be a negative word or response; it can pave the way for a "yes." The more no's you get, the more likely it is that you'll get a yes. Everybody has their own way of handling a "no," and of course, our zodiac signs influence that. Find out what happens when the signs are told "no."
When an Aries is told "no," they made look as if they're taking the "no" seriously. But the truth is, they're faking it and will do whatever they were told not to do anyway. Aries are a determined sign and one that likes to have their own way.
Taurus take things very seriously, so when they're told "no" they'll usually obey it. They'll accept a "no" as long as they're not in a stubborn mood, which, if that's the case, watch out! They're going to dig their heels in and fight that "no."
Geminis are pretty easy going people who try to not to get unnecessarily upset, so when they're told "no" they don't take it seriously. They'll just laugh and walk away as if it's no big thing.
Cancers are the most emotional of the signs and will take a "no" very personally. If it's a work "no" or a home "no," Cancer will not take it well, and generally will retreat and go somewhere they can be by themselves and sulk.
Leos always are going to do their own thing and never bother asking for anyone's permission in the first place. There's no need for "no" in Leo's world.
If a Virgo is told "no" they're just going to go back and research all the reasons why they should be given a "yes." They'll make a case for the repeal of "no" and often times, the "no" will be rescinded.
Libras will try to live with a "no" unless they think it's unfair. If that's the case, they'll fight it. They don't want conflict but they especially don't want something unjust.
Scorpios are passionate, and if a "no" threatens to derail them from something they're passionate about, they're going to react negatively and in a big way. They may seem calm enough, but that just means it's intensifying inside. Watch out when it all bubbles up to the surface.
Here's the thing about Sagittarius: they're going to go wherever they want and do what they want, no matter if someone tells them "no." No is actually a difficult concept for Sagittarius to understand; it must be one of those things that other people have to submit to, but not Sag.
"No" is just the beginning for Capricorn. Tell a Capricorn "no" and they're going to make it their mission to wear you down until you give up and say "yes."
Not only won't telling an Aquarius "no" stop them, but they're going to do whatever it was you told them not to do ... right in front of you. Aquarians believe that they know best, for not only themselves but everyone.
Tell a Pisces "no" and they'll say "OK," and either do something completely different or use that "no" as a springboard to come up with another way.
