Grown-Ass Women Don't Tear Down Other Grown-Ass Women

If you roll your eyes when another woman wears makeup and a tight dress and hair extensions, then you aren't supporting women.

If you sneer when she shaves her head and wears a basketball jersey, then you aren't supporting women.

If you laugh behind her back when she wears four-inch stilettos and stumbles, then you aren't supporting women.

If you recoil when she raises both arms high in the air, and you see she didn't shave and doesn't shave and never will shave, then you aren't supporting women.

If you mock a 40-year-old virgin — or if you mock the woman who has slept with over 40 men — then you aren't supporting women.

If you say that staying home and raising kids isn't real work, then you aren't supporting women. Or if you say that choosing not to be a mother and focusing on your work instead means you're not a real woman, then you aren't supporting women.

If you judge a woman on her shoes and not on her merits; if you laugh at her for wearing three layers of mascara or a push-up bra or Birkenstocks or hemp deodorant or a mini-skirt or a soldier's uniform; if you judge a woman on how she chooses to use her uterus (or not), then you aren't supporting women.

#YesAllWomen, please!

We choose different paths and different ways, and let's be real: it isn't easy no matter where we go and what shoes take us there. So let's stop judging and being adversaries, and make it easier on each other by supporting one another together.

Maybe if we feel less alone we can work together instead of fight against each other.
