Sex can be risky. If you’re not careful, you can catch herpes, chlamydia or syphilis, and be in so much pain that you cry a little every time you urinate. But can sex be life-threatening? Of course!

So, yes, though sex is amazing and orgasms will never go out of style, it can also be bad for your health. It might even kill you. Here are a few sex acts to avoid — or else.

1. Hot Tub Sex

You know that hot tub in your exquisite and expensive hotel Honeymoon Suite? Please resist the temptation to have sex in it.

Recently, a Canadian married couple died at a Mexican resort after getting freaky in the hot tub. While doing the deed, Charles McKenzie, 67, suffered a massive heart attack and pinned his wife, Dorothy McKenzie, 63, down with his weight, drowning her. They were at the resort for their daughter’s wedding.

A sad, tragic tale — and a warning to us all!

2. Double Penetration

Kudos to the chicas venturing into anal! Just don’t have anal and vaginal intercouse simultaneously. In other words, no double penetration!

If you do so unprotected, you’re risking a severe vaginal infection. Remember: no matter how well you wipe your booty, the anus still holds feces. And you don’t want that anywhere near your pepa!

If you must double dip, make sure your partner changes condoms before switching holes.

3. Lean Back

When I was 13 years old, my eldest cousin, Yari, gave me a sex lesson. While at the park she straddled a rail and showed me how to ride a guy. It was quite a demonstration. “And then...you lean back,” she finished.

Well, I’m glad I never followed that last tidbit. Leaning back when inside your man can break or sprain his pickle. Just work your hips and pelvis when on top, and leave the “leaning back” to Fat Joe

4. Standing Up

Sometimes you’re so horny you can’t make it to the bedroom! So you have sex standing up. Sexy, right?

Yes, but also risky. A man is holding all your weight while he’s bending backward, flexing his knees and bouncing you up and down. If he struggles at any moment while holding you up (or loses his concentration), he might lose his balance and drop you. Or, he hurt his back and his pene. Ouch!

5. Choking

Choking during sex is an intense fetish that’s become increasingly popular. And I get its appeal. When you cut the brain from oxygen sensations are heightened, making an orgasm that much more intense.

That’s sexy and all, but choking during sex also comes with dangerous risks. Like, you can be choked to death! This makes chlamydia, or any STD, a walk in the park.
