creepy love songs

There's a fine line between devoted and obsessed ... and these lyrics go WAY beyond it.

Far from sweet and sappy, these love songs actually kind of scare us a little. What do you think: romantic or run away?

1. Conway Twitty's I'd Love To Lay You Down

“Oh Darlin’, how I’d love to lay you down.”

Uhhhmm lay me down where? In the ground once you murder me?

2. Aerosmith's I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing

I could stay awake just to hear you breathing,
Watch you smile while you are sleeping.”

I am all for some Aerosmith, but you can’t honestly tell me that this doesn't have a bit of a stalker sound to it.

3. Johnny Cash's Flesh And Blood

“Flesh and blood needs flesh and blood,
And you're the one I need.”

This sounds like something from a romance horror zombie movie, not a love song!

4. Ludo's Love Me Dead

"Fill my soul with vomit, then ask me for a piece of gum."

Whaaat? Enough said with this one. The whole thing is disturbing to the core.

5. Maroon 5's Animals

“Maybe you think you that can hide,
I can smell your scent for miles.”

Everything about this song is a bit disturbing and creepy. Maroon 5 is amazing and it's definitely catchy, but if you actually listen to it...

6. Sting's Every Breath You Take

Why anyone thinks this song is romantic is beyond me. It's literally about a stalker watching his victim, people!
