Bad News, Singletons: 30 Percent Of Tinder Users Are MARRIED

Soooo this is creepy.

GlobalWebIndex looked at 47,000 users on Tinder and found that 30 percent (!!!) of married people use the app in order to have some fun on the side. That doesn't include the 12 percent who are browsing instead of tending to their supposed "committed" relationship.

Ugh, if we wanted a cheater we'd join Ashley Madison!

They also found that 62 percent of Tinder's users are male; 38 percent are female and in terms of age: 38 percent are between the ages of 16 and 24 and 45 percent are between 25 and 34.

Shockingly (yeah right), Tinder is not a fan of GlobalWebIndex's findings. After Business Insider reported these numbers they wasted no time disputing the "facts."

"Those statistics are completely inaccurate. I'm not sure how they sampled that specific group of people, but it does not represent Tinder's user base," a Tinder representative tells Business Insider. "More than 50% of Tinder's user base is age 18-24. And altogether, 85% of our users are age 18-34."

They didn't comment, however, on the percent of their users being married or in a relationship, so proceed with caution when swiping right, ladies and gents.
