Sounds like someone wants more whips and chains on the set of Fifty Shades Of Grey — and not necessarily for pleasure.
Sources say that the Fifty Shades trilogy author E.L. James and director Sam Taylor-Johnson are having spats over creative differences for the screen adaptation of the sexy series.
"Sam is getting annoyed about the way the script is being handled," a source told E! News. "E.L. James wants the movie to match the book exactly, but Sam has a different perspective. Sam is reminding E.L. she writes books and she makes movies. This has caused some tension between the two of them."
If you'll recall, the producers of the movie said the film would be toned down from the book, going more for erotic than explicit ... much to the chagrin of the fans.
On the bright side, Taylor-Johnson and her cast are wonderful together. The source quipped, "Sam has a great relationship with the actors. The script is running smoothly and there is not a lot of re-shooting that has had to be done."
Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan are getting along swimmingly. And their relationship is actually sort of like Steele and Grey's: Dornan's said to be a protective, almost paternal, figure over Johnson. Which is sort of weird since they're getting paid to pretend to have really hot sex.
"Jamie Dorman is really protective over Dakota," an on-set insider spilled. "She is very friendly and talks to everyone. Jamie stays to himself and does not talk much. Jamie thinks Dakota gets really distracted, because she is so nice to people and so he will walk over to who she is talking to and try and end the conversation. He is nice about it, but he does ask them to leave her alone."
Sheesh. Sounds like someone is into method acting!
