These stars just can't stop writing songs about one another, and that gets messy.
Drake tried to shock the world by performing his song "Days In The East" with a picture of Rihanna displayed behind him. It would have been shocking except that everyone already kind of figured out that the song was about her. It's nice to have confirmation, though, especially if it's from Jimmy Brooks himself:
While it's probably very cathartic for Drake, who's softer than a Tempur-Pedic mattress but much more manipulative, it's probably super embarrassing for Rihanna.
The good news? RiRi's not alone! There are plenty of celebrities that are right there with her. Famous people write songs about other famous people all the time. Sometimes it's obvious, sometimes it's not. Here are 13 more people who know exactly what Rihanna is going through right now.
1. Alanis Morissette, "You Oughta Know" - Dave Coulier
"You Oughta Know" is reportedly about Full House star and professional Canadian Dave Coulier, who, according to this song by Alanis Morrisette, is a huge jerk with a penchant for oral sex in movie theaters.
2. Gwen Stefani, "Hollaback Girl" - Courtney Love
Gwen Stefani decided to Holla-Back at Courtney Love after Love referred to her as a cheerleader. Incidentally, the dumbest cheerleader on Earth probably isn't nearly as messy as Courtney Love.
3. Nine Inch Nails, "Starf--kers, Inc." - Also about Courtney Love
The title of this song is pretty self explanatory when you know its about Courtney Love. Trent Reznor's lyrics dig a little bit deeper than Gwen Stefani's did.
4. Katy Perry, "Circle The Drain" - Travis (Travie) McCoy
This not so bubblegum poppy song by Katy Perry is supposedly about her least famous ex, Travie McCoy, who struggled with addiction. Bonus fact: Perry reportedly dumped him over email. Classy!
5. Taylor Swift, "I Knew You Were Trouble" - Harry Styles of One Direction
Taylor Swift knew Harry Styles was trouble (wubble, wubble), but still dated him because she had a new album she needed to write some songs for, and he had a new album coming out that needed publicity.
6. John Mayer, "Paper Doll" - Taylor Swift
John Mayer wrote Paper Doll about Taylor Swift, because she deserves to know what it feels like.
7. Justin Bieber, "Nothing Like Us" - Selena Gomez
Justin Bieber wrote this song about ex Selena Gomez when she stopped being like Anne Frank and was no longer a Belieber.
8. Selena Gomez, "Love Will Remember" - Justin Bieber
Love will remember, but hopefully forget Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber's relationship and fame. Fun fact: Selena Gomez didn't even write this, but she did include a voicemail from Justin Bieber in the intro. Because she's so classy, as she will tell you repeatedly.
9. Miley Cyrus, "7 Things" - Nick Jonas
Here's seven things Miley Cyrus hates about Nick Jonas from back when she wrote songs about things other than twerking and smoking pot.
10. Justin Timberlake, "Cry Me A River" - Britney Spears
Maybe Justin Timberlake shouldn't have cried a river about his breakup with Britney Spears, because seems like things have worked out in his favor. See: Jessica Biel.
11. Britney Spears, "Everytime" - Justin Timberlake
Britney Spears' song about Justin Timberlake wasn't as big of a hit as his was about her. Unfortunately for Brit-Brit, it's a feeling she should've gotten used to.
12. Aerosmith, "Dude Looks Like A Lady" - Vince Neil of Motley Crue
Apparently, it was Motley Crue singer Vince Neil that looked like a lady. In all honesty, Steven Tyler shouldn't really be making fun of how anybody else looks.
13. Eminem, "Bagpipes From Baghdad" - Mariah Carey
Eminem wrote this song about Mariah Carey, who he lost to Nick Cannon. Ouch.
