Loveumentary #34: Jenna McCarthy Doesn't Want You To Settle

You tell it, girl.

Welcome to The Loveumentary on YourTango! Every Wednesday, YourTango will be hosting podcasts from the fabulous Loveumentary project, created by Nate Bagley. Today's podcast comes to us from author and radio personality Jenna McCarthy, who warns against the dangers of settling when it comes to love. Settling only leads to unhappiness and disengagement in relatinoships, and no one wants that.

Her number one piece of advice? Be yourself! At all costs, be yourself, and be the best dang version of yourself you can be. Only by valuing yourself in all your fabulousness will you find someone to value you in return.

Our favorite love quote from Jenna: "As the margaritas continued to flow, the story became that he had proposed to her on a whim because he thought it was the right time. Literally, he's like "I was thirty years old, all my friends were getting married, I found somebody that I mostly could stand on a regular basis, and I popped the question with no ring, no date, very impetuously,  she said yes, and then we kinda looked at each other and went, what the fuck?' They both knew it wasn't right."
