HGTV Curbside Appeal host Bill Beckwith passed away after a tragic motorcycle crash this week in San Francisco, mere blocks from his home. (It's even more tragic when you consider Beckwith was a longtime motorcycle enthusiast who often posted photos riding and doing tricks in risky and exotic locales.) The star, who was a carpenter, contractor and actor, was just 38 years old.
The network released a statement summing up the feelings of many: "The HGTV family is deeply saddened by Bill's tragic death and we mourn his loss along with his many family and friends who will miss his creativity, adventurous spirit and general love of life."
Aside from being survived by legions of fans of his series, Beckwith also left behind a lovely and loving girlfriend. Brunette beauty Yulia Korneeva posted a heartbreaking yet heartwarming tribute to Beckwith on her Facebook page.
Alongside a collage of photos of herself and Beckwith together, she wrote, "My love, so kind and bright, adventurous and strong. You are loved by so many good people! I wish you could stay with us for way longer."
She's not alone. Our thoughts remain with Beckwith's family and friends during this difficult time.
