Dakota Johnson went brunette to play Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades Of Grey, while Jamie Dornan went dark in a different way to transform into Christian Grey.
The steamy duo showed their stuff (well, not all of it ... yet!) as their Fifty Shades characters for the first time on the newly released cover of Entertainment Weekly.
The cover shot features the pair just as fans of the steamy tome would picture them (clothed, that is). Dornan rocks a steely suit and tie combo, while Johnson cowers against him in a deep plum number.
As for how Dornan, 31, and Johnson, 24, are prepping for their roles (now being released on Valentine's Day 2015!)? Truthfully, neither admits to doing that much.
Dornan boasts, "I'm a fairly worldly guy. I grew up in a very liberal place. I'm not saying we had a playroom, but I'm not shocked by the sex in the book. It's essential to tell the story. I can't believe films that don't invoke the sexual side of it. So it works for me."
Johnson admitted her big priority was toning up to look good in the red room. "Obviously, I want to look good naked. I totally understand now why people exercise, because it kind of f––ing feels awesome."
So are they nervous? Not Dornan! When asked how it felt to take on the role of the damaged yet suave S&M enthusiast, he dropped an F-bomb of his own, "There was a slight fear. But beyond anything else, I was really f––ing excited."
