Exclusive! Alyson Hannigan & Her Relationship With Alexis Denisof
Alyson wed Alexis Denisof on Oct. 11, 2003. The couple's now parents of two daughters.
A decade of marriage, and this Hollywood couple hasn't spent more than three weeks apart.

Fiction caught up with reality when Alyson Hannigan's character Lily gave birth to a son in the seventh season finale of How I Met Your Mother. Off camera, the Buffy The Vampire Slayer and American Pie teenager is now 39 and the mother of two young girls, Satyana, 3, and Keeva, 1, with her husband of ten years, actor Alexis Denisof.

Back on Oct. 11, 2003, the couple wed in a three-day celebration outside of Palm Springs. And this past July, Denisof popped the question for a second time.

"My hubby @AlexisDenisof surprised me with the most romantic day of my life yesterday! Which included another proposal & ring! I said YES!" Hannigan tweeted. "And now we get to have our kids at this ceremony :) It'll be shorter. We'll get to the cake sooner! YAY renewal!!!"

The couple re-tied the knot in a Hawaiin sunrise ceremony on Sept. 30, and the rest as they say, has been happily ever after:

YourTango: So how are you managing two young kids and working?
Alyson Hannigan: They come to work with me and they love it. But it's definitely hard to be a working mom.

YourTango: Is Alexis a hands-on dad?
Alyson Hannigan: He's amazing. He's a wonderful dad.

YourTango: Has having children brought you closer?
Alyson Hannigan: Yes. It's such an incredible roller coaster ride. It's just amazing, but it's also, "Holy cow, we're in it!"

YourTango: Was it love at first sight when you met?
Alyson Hannigan: It was definitely flirtation at first sight!

YourTango: How long after that did you get together?
Alyson Hannigan: Like a year and a half, because we were working together [on Buffy] and I didn't want to date someone I was working with.

YourTango: What's the best love advice you've received?
Alyson Hannigan: "Don't ever spend more than three weeks apart." Two and a half weeks, maybe three, was the longest we ever did.

YourTango: What keeps your relationship solid?
Alyson Hannigan: We're best friends. He's my partner and I wouldn't want to do it with anybody else.
