And is this supermodel mom considering having more children with beau Martin Kristen?
Who knew Heidi Klum's such a hoarder?
"I keep everything!" the supermodel supermom of four spilled to YourTango at the Shutterfly By Design home décor event in NYC about stashing her boys' hair in a Ziploc bag. What's more, it turns out the 40-year-old stunner gives Martha Stewart a run for her millions as Hollywood's Queen of the Crafts.
From advice for first time moms (ahem, Kim and Kate) to expanding her own genetically-blessed clan, take a peek inside Heidi's (very creative) home life:
YourTango: What's your best parenting advice for new moms?
Heidi Klum: Just kind of roll with it, I guess. I think it's good to listen to advice and hear what people have to say, people with experience. Or even not. You get opinions, but ultimately you have to make it work, and your gut will always tell you what to do. Just roll with it.
YourTango: Do you ever think about having more kids? Or are your hands full?
Heidi Klum: Oh, I have four. Four's a good number for me.
YourTango: What art projects do you create together at home?
Heidi Klum: So two of my boys, they have big afros, and when I shaved them all down, I kept all the hair and I put it in a Ziploc bag. I keep everything! But then, I waited and I'm like, 'I don't know what I'm gonna do with this.' It was so beautiful, this whole bag of afro: one for Henry, one for Johan. The next time they painted their faces, I glued all their hair around it, so it was like this three-dimensional painting. It's their face! And Henry was always a bit more blonde, like the tips are really blonde, and Johan's more dark. So you can see, this one looks like Henry and this one looks like Johan. It's so pretty.
YourTango: That's so fun.
Heidi Klum: When you have kids, it changes everything. You're always looking for things to do. I have plates with names; everyone has their own name on the plate. They love silly things like that, so when they go around the table, [my kids say], "I'm sitting here. This is my plate."
YourTango: What crafts will you make next?
Heidi Klum: I want to make a blanket now. I saw this blanket that [Nigel Barker] did with photographs, so I want to make that for all my kids; a collage with all their friends—a BFF, best friends forever, blanket. They can give those as presents to friends for their birthdays.
