The largest Christian ex-gay organization is closing.

Yesterday, Exodus International, the evangelical organization, who infamously practiced the idea that gay people could change their sexual orientation, unanimously closed.
In an open letter to the LGBT community, president Alan Chambers issued an apology, "I am sorry I have communicated that you and your families are less than me and mine."
So what led to the group shutting its doors? And, what does it mean for gay Christians and gay rights?
