Bedroom Boost! These Are The 5 Best Workouts For Your Sex Life

bedroom

Sure, the quest for a beach body is all fine and good, but how about exercise as a tool for a better sex life? Here are the workouts you should try based on the area of your sex life you want to improve:

1. Up Your Staying Power: High-Intensity Interval Traning
Ever get out of breath in between the sheets … and not in a good way? If you're out of shape, you might be doing a disservice to your sex life. Give yourself a boost in an out of the bedroom with high-intensity interval training. Hop on the bike, treadmill, or elliptical and go at an all-out pace as hard as you can for 30 seconds to a minute before slowing to a gentle pace for a minute or two. Repeat the process up to 10 times. Keep at it once or twice a week, and you'll increase your endurance faster than running or biking at a moderate, steady pace.

2. Get Into Crazy Positions: Pilates
Getting your limbs into creative arrangements can seriously up the fun factor in bed…but you need strength and flexibility to pull it off. Pilates tackles both of those, working your hips, gluteus, abs, and back, and teaching you how to support your own body weight. It also increases your back and hip flexibility, so you can get more adventurous when it comes to trying new positions.

3. Intensify Your Orgasms: Yoga
Strengthening your pelvic floor and squeezing your pelvic muscles (aka Kegels) can give you stronger, more intense orgasms…and yoga is a great way to get there. Strength-building yoga sequences that incorporate warrior poses and lunges will contract those pelvic muscles.

4. Increase Arousal: Cardio
Cardio workouts like running and biking are great for improving blood circulation everywhere throughout the body…and we mean everywhere. A recent study measured blood flow to the genital area in women watching a short travel film followed by an abbreviated X-rated movie. Two responses were measured, one following 20 minutes of vigorous cycling, and one not—and the results found a whopping 169 percent increase in blood flow to the genital area after exercising.

5. Improve Missionary: Pushups
Want to improve on the old stand-by? Tell your guy to hit the gym for pushups and the bench press. It'll strengthen his chest and triceps, making it easier for him to hold himself up for an extended period of time, so he's not resting his weight on you. Plus, if he's able to comfortably hold himself up for longer, his focus is free to remain on you.
