The new season of The Bachelorette premieres Monday, May 20 at 9 p.m. The following week, the show returns to its usual 8 p.m. timeslot.
To hold you over for the next two months, here's what Des is saying about life and love after Sean:
"I just can't even believe I'm here. I'm so thankful and so blessed," Desiree said with tears in her eyes right after she was announced to America as the next Bachelorette. "I could have never imagined having this opportunity. I'm overcome with happiness."
As for whether she thinks she can really find love on the show—or "believes in the experience" as they say in Bachelor world—Desiree responds, "I do believe in the experience. I know the feelings are real, and I do believe it can work out for the best."
We can't wait to "watch your journey unfold," Desiree!
