Sure, America was excited to find out who Sean Lowe ultimately chose in the three-hour finale of The Bachelor, but with all the spoilers and speculation out there, what really had us on pins and needles was learning who the next Bachelorette will be!
And just as so many of us suspected, Desiree Hartsock—the bridal stylist and aspiring fashion designer from Northglenn, CO—will be looking for love on ABC as the next Bachelorette. Her season will begin filming sometime in the next two weeks, so get ready all you potential husbands—behind that charm and sophistication is a short-tempered brother looking for a fight. Just ask Sean.

The new season of The Bachelorette premieres Monday, May 20 at 9 p.m. The following week, the show returns to its usual 8 p.m. timeslot.
To hold you over for the next two months, here's what Des is saying about life and love after Sean:
"I just can't even believe I'm here. I'm so thankful and so blessed," Desiree said with tears in her eyes right after she was announced to America as the next Bachelorette. "I could have never imagined having this opportunity. I'm overcome with happiness."
As for whether she thinks she can really find love on the show—or "believes in the experience" as they say in Bachelor world—Desiree responds, "I do believe in the experience. I know the feelings are real, and I do believe it can work out for the best."
We can't wait to "watch your journey unfold," Desiree!
