Why Do We Still Care About Chris Brown's Celebrity Fights?

Chris Brown
Twitterfeuds ... club fights ... parking lot brawls ... it's the same story and yet we keep reading.

Chris Brown and R&B artist Frank Ocean supposedly went to war on January 27 outside of Westlake Studios in Los Angeles—over a parking space. We know, we thought it was absurd, too. But Brown's latest violent brouhaha made us wonder what else he'll explode about ... and why do we care?

"We hope that Chris Brown will grow up already and do something to benefit others, or at least do something more constructive than picking fights," YourTango expert N. Meridian explains. "But, once again, experience tell us that change may not come. If it does, it may not be in the form that people expect."

Public opinion, be damned, Rihanna doesn't care about the hole Brown just keeps on digging. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the "We Found Love" singer confesses about her relationship, "Even if it's a mistake, it's my mistake. After being tormented for so many years, being angry and dark, I'd rather just live my truth and take the backlash. I can handle it."

So, are we all just subconsciously waiting on the sidelines for Brown to burn this relationship? "In some ways, many are expecting them to fail while others are in their corner—few though they be. Bottom line, it doesn't matter what we think of their relationship," Meridian continues. "It boils down to what they each want. Because of his continued outbursts, we undoubtedly begin to think that this couple will ultimately fail."

Your turn: Is Rihanna just headed for another relationship disaster? Will Chris Brown ever really change?
