Courteney Cox Talks Ex David Arquette: We're Better As Friends

They may be divorced, but they're still best friends!

Courteney Cox is opening up about her unusually-amicable divorce from David Arquette.

During a recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres show, the 48-year-old Cougar Town star claimed to be on great terms with her ex-hubby, whom she separated from back in October 2010. "He's my best friend in the world," she said. "I love him."

Even though Arquette filed for divorce in June of last year, Cox said they are closer than ever now. "I appreciate David more now than I ever did. I mean ... it's hard," she said. "I don't recommend divorce in general, but he is my best friend and we've both grown and changed, and I think we both appreciate each other more. I hope he does. I do."

Wow, good for them! Of course, they are also still very devoted to co-parenting their adorable eight-year-old daughter Coco. Cox remains single while Arquette is currently dating Entertainment Tonight's Christina McClarty.

Oh, and the former married couple also continue to work together on her show, where he serves as an executive producer. He even guest-starred in the season three finale last year!

Now if only every split could be this friendly. Hey, Taylor Swift, take note.
