1. The Andaz San Diego
A boutique hotel in the Gaslight Quarter, the Andaz San Diego features a swanky nightclub, sweet rooftop lounge and an upscale wine bar. But, quite frankly, you’ll not want to leave your room. The Sweet Suite has a “shower built for a party,” while the Star Suite comes in at a bigger-than-average 1,275 square feet and includes two bedrooms with a king-size bunk bed, a mirrored ceiling and an in-room “dancing” pole.

2. Hotel Americano
The Hotel Americano may be small in small in size (only 56 rooms), but is big on design. Already a Chelsea hot spot, they’ve set up shop near the ever-popular Highline and art galleries in the neighborhood. The concept is a nod to the Mexico City-based roots with an “urban ryokan” concept. (Room service is delivered via Bento Box.) The wood-lined sleeping pods beg to become the center of attention with platform beds and clean, white linens. While minute, the bathroom features a one-way mirror looking onto the room from the shower. Visit during the chillier months, and the tiny rooftop pools morphs into a large hot tub complete with tub-side adult libations.

3. The Cosmopolitan Vegas
