Eva Longoria Dumps Boyfriend & Removes Ex-Husband Tattoo

Eva Longoria splits from boyfriend Mark Sanchez and says goodbye to her Tony Parker tattoos.

According to Us! Weekly, one Desperate Housewives star is anything but desperate to hold onto things that no longer have true meaning in her life—including boyfriend Mark Sanchez and three tattoos that she had inked in honor of her cheating ex-husband, Tony Parker.

Start your engines, boys! Eva Longoria is single. The sexy superstar and her boyfriend of a few months, Mark Sanchez—quarterback for the New York Jets—decided to call it quits.

Mark adores and respects Eva," Sanchez's rep tells Us. "It really was about scheduling more than anything else. They will remain close friends."

But her relationship with the football hunk is not the only thing Eva is ridding herself of this fall. On top of saying goodbye to a new romance, Eva is still shedding skin—literally—from her marriage to ex-husband Tony Parker, which came to an end in November 2010 after he allegedly cheated, by removing the three tattoos she had done as an ode to their love.

On Sunday, Ms. Longoria was seen romping about Beverly Hills with a red blotch on the back of her neck where a tattoo that said "nine"—Tony's basketball jersey number—used to be. According to E!, this is not the first tattoo for Mr. Parker that Eva has had removed. In March 2011, Eva removed their wedding date from her wrist and a third tattoo of Tony's initials still resides somewhere on her body.

Some say that too much change at one given time is too much of a good thing, but I say the more power to you, Eva! Obviously, she's taking steps to rid herself of any unwanted negative energy in her life. If only we could all get behind such a strong woman who knows what she wants and how to get it.

I'm sure somewhere deep down, Eva's wishing that on top of the pain of being betrayed and divorced, she didn't have to go through the physical pain of getting tattoos removed. But, we all do things when we're in love that we look back on in hindsight and say, "what was I thinking?!" At least Eva's can be fixed!
