We all know Katy Perry as the upbeat "I Kissed a Girl" singer who has colorful hair to match her personality. However, a recent tragedy — the disturbing death of Sons of Anarchy star Johnny Lewis has brought the 27-year-old singer into a sad state, while she remembers her ex-boyfriend.
A source close to Perry told Us that she's "devastated" by the darkness surrounding Lewis' death, and songs such as "The One That Got Away" and "Circle The Drain" were based on her relationships with Lewis and ex-boyfriend, Gym Class Heroes' front-man, Travis McCoy. Perry's relationship with Lewis was from 2005-2006 but she knew deep down she had to let him go because she couldn't save him. The source told Us, "They had good times. It's really sad." The One That Got Away
On Wednesday evening, the 28-year-old actor was discovered dead in a driveway after an apparent fall in Los Angeles. After reporting to the scene due to reports of screaming, Police also found his 81 year-old landlord Catherine Davis dead. Police believe that she was beaten to death by Lewis.
Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter released a statement on his WhoSay page saying, "I wish I was shocked by the events last night, but I was not." He also went on to mention that Lewis was "an extremely talented guy" but he "had lost his way."
Sometimes the cost of stardom comes with a far too early death. It's unfortunate that Lewis met an untimely death, but we're sure Katy Perry's faith will help her through this hard time. Perhaps Perry, will write it out in a new album. Did Faith Play A Role In Katy Perry And Russell Brand's Split?
