About the judges:
Sisters Katherine Kallinis Berman and Sophie Kallinis LaMontagne are the co-founders of Georgetown Cupcake, stars of the hit series DC Cupcakes on TLC, and best-selling authors of The Cupcake Diaries: Recipes and Memories from the Sisters of Georgetown Cupcake. Their new book, Sweet Celebrations: Our Favorite Cupcake Recipes, Memories, and Decorating Secrets that Add Sparkle to any Occasion comes out in the Fall, 2012. They founded Georgetown Cupcake in 2008 after leaving careers in finance and venture capital to follow their true passion: baking!
Anthony Cirone is a California native, has his MBA from NYU and has been in NYC for 23 years. He has been a chocoholic ever since, as a kid, his parents tried to convince him that carob was just as good as chocolate. It wasn’t. He rebelled, became a chocoholic, and bought Li-Lac Chocolates, Manhatan's oldest chocolate house, after working in marketing at Unilever and Bath & Body Works.
Andrea Miller is the CEO and founder of YourTango.com. She is a graduate of Columbia Business School, where she came up with the idea for YourTango after reading a chapter of the book Soul Mates out loud to her then boyfriend, now hubby, Sanjay. When it comes to cooking, unfortunately for Sanjay, Andrea's a far better, passionate consumer of amazing food than the progenitor of it. Exceptions include: mastery of "Mrs. B's Magic Dal" recipe, a hearty beef stew, and an unbelievably moist and delicious egg-free chocolate cake. Thankfully, living in NYC, there are plenty of take out options!
Jill Roberson is the San Francisco-based editor and writer for Foodie.com. Covering everything from recipes, to restaurants, to food events, Jill has been exploring the ever-changing food world for years. When not creating new dishes in her kitchen or dinning out on the town you can find her enjoying time with her husband, Cris, and their dog, Yuba.
