Sexy stud and all-around heroic dude Ryan Gosling is gearing up to direct his first film, How To Catch A Monster. The project — which the heartthrob actor also wrote — will mark Gosling's first time working on the other side of the camera.
While we're super excited he's venturing into other roles, we think it's too bad he won't also be acting in the film, considering the lead role was recently filled by none other than the smokin' (and incredibly talented) Christina Hendricks! Christina Hendricks: Polyamorous Love Object?

These two are certainly a sizzling on-screen duo, as the 2011 film Drive proved. And although we won't be seeing them together on the big-screen for this flick, we can still plan to expect plenty of Gosling's presence to come through in his directing, and we bet the chemistry between these two will be evident in Christina's performance.
The movie itself sounds super dark and suspenseful. According to a recent press release obtained by Daily Fill, "How to Catch a Monster weaves elements of fantasy noir with suspense to create a modern day fairytale set against the surreal dreamscape of a vanishing city. Hendricks [will] play Billy, a single mother of two who is swept into a macabre underworld, while her teenage son discovers a secret road leading to an underwater town."
"There's no one really like her," Gosling recently said about his leading lady (no, not Eva Mendes). "She's very meticulous about every detail."
The plot may sound a bit strange, but we bet with Gosling leading the directing helm and Hendricks flaunting her craft, this futuristic sounding film can be nothing but fantastic ... and hopefully drop-dead sexy!
