Beverly Hills, 90210 actress Jennie Garth showed up in NYC Tuesday for appearances on Fox & Friends, Sirius XM radio and Entertainment Tonight. The two topics everyone was focusing on? Garth's dating life and her weight.
"(Dating) is very new for me," Garth told Fox & Friends. "I have training wheels on right now, because I was married (for so long). That's my whole adult life, basically. I think I'm actually going back into adult adolescence. I'm having a moment."
So, why is it so hard for the 40-year-old stunning mom of three to find a man? "They come into it knowing who I am or my history," she says. "I know nothing about them, so I have a weird disadvantage." Jennie Garth & Peter Facinelli Split After 11 Years Of Marriage
Fox & Friends co-host Gretchen Carlson suggested a self-help book for Garth: Why Men Love Bitches: From Doormat to Dream Girl – A Woman's Guide to Holding Her Own in a Relationship. Garth was super excited saying, "I react emotionally to everything; I will buy it right now!"
As for her health, Entertainment Tonight Canada approached Garth about the rumors and talk that she's too skinny. She didn't deny that her divorce has to do with her new shape (or lack thereof). "I've been certainly going through a transitional time in my life, and I think anybody who has been through something like what I'm going through and have been going through for the past couple years, can definitely relate that your body changes with your emotional state of mind sometimes," Garth honestly explained. "I think a lot of women can relate to that."
However, the actress is completely heathly, explaining that with the season, she's eating lots of fruit and veggies. "We have so many fruits at our ranch where we've been living … so eating healthy, especially with three girls, body image is something that I try to set a good example for them.”
Her three girls, Lucs, 14, Lola, 9, and Fiona, 5, are the most important things to Garth, and she tries to be a good role model for them. "I want them to be comfortable in their own skin and be healthy minded as well as physically."
