Gwen Stefani Wears Makeup For Her Hubby; Finds Motherhood Tough

Despite having children and a husband to die for, 42-year-old Gwen Stefani still takes the time to put effort into herself as a person first.

The No Doubt singer opens up to Harper's Bazaar for the mag's September issue about her personal style and balancing her busy career with motherhood.

Despite being considered high-maintenance, Stefani feels it's necessary to always look good (and what's wrong with that?). She tells Harper's: "I've always been a girl who loves to dress up. I already put my makeup on twice today: I put it on to take my kid to school, and then I went home, washed my face, and put it on again to have lunch with you."

We like the fact she cares enough to feel good about herself when going out into the world, but that's not the only reason she enhances her features with her signature red lipstick. We're sure Stefani's adorable sons, Kingston, 6, and Zuma, almost 4, don't care what their mommy wears on her face. The singer and fashion designer admits she loves being a mom, but believes the balance of work, wedded bliss and motherhood is the toughest balancing act there is. She admits to the magazine: "Finding that balance between work and family is the hardest thing I've ever done."

We think this rock goddess has super powers and we love her for trying so hard at everything she does!
