The actress landed an Emmy nom this morning along with her new "Highest Paid Actress" title.
Three Emmy nominations, check. Top of a Forbes list, check. More gorgeous than most at age 40, CHECK. Some say Sofia Vergara has it all, and they may be right. The 2012 Emmy nominations were announced this morning, and Vergara's hit show Modern Family was recognized with 14 nominations, including one for the sexy actress for "Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy."
It was also announced today how much bank Ms. Vergara makes, since Forbes magazine named the Columbian actress the Highest Paid Actress on Television!
Modern Family did great last season, averaging 12 million viewers, but that was just part of what secured Vergara's number one spot. LatinWE, the company she founded in 1996, had its top revenue year, bringing in $27 million! Add in the $12 million of endorsements she does (in English and Spanish), and the $7 million advance that Kmart gave her for to carry her lines, and Forbes estimates Vergara's earnings for the last year to to be around $19 million! Sofia Vergara Is Engaged — See Her Ring!
So, who did she beat out on the list?
Well, the runner-up on Forbes' list is another woman with curves: Kim Kardashian. She fell short of Vergara by just $1 million. The magazine estimates that with Keeping Up with the Kardashians' success and her various appearances, Kimmie raked in $18 million last year.
Kim and Sofia have a few things in common that bring them both to the top, like big endorsements and publicity. Kim is known for her diet pills and health food, as well as her clothing line at Sears. Sofia has done endorsements for Burger King and Diet Pepsi, and has home and fashion lines for Kmart.
The sexy stars' personal lives aren't exactly personal either – Kim's relationship status with Kanye West is constantly making headlines, and Sofia just got engaged to her on-again beau Nick Loeb.
Congrats, Sofia! What a week!
