Help! I Have Trust Issues Because Of My Childhood

If your childhood was anything but idyllic, your past may prevent you from trusting others as an adult. You may even find it difficult to be happy in your post-adolescent life. You probably wonder if it will ever be possible to put your youth behind you, especially now that you've become a mistrustful, wary adult. Fortunately, there is hope.

In this video, women's advocate, dating coach and YourTango Expert, Crystal Andrus confirms the difficulty of having a rough childhood, as it often leads to larger problems later in life, including mistrustfulness and difficulty accepting others, especially in relationships. However, Crystal says that the "biggest gift" you can give to yourself is to learn to trust yourself and your own instincts.
