The SNL alum says boyfriend Fabrizio Moretti sends her over the moon.

Even though she had a tearful last episode of Saturday Night Live just a few months ago, Kristen Wiig says she now feels better than ever, and her healthy relationship with boyfriend Fabrizio Moretti is largely responsible.

In a recent interview with Marie Claire, Wiig opened up for the first time about her budding relationship with The Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti, 32. Kristen Wiig: Male Strippers Turned 'Bridesmaids' Cast Into BFFs

According to NY Daily News, Wiig gushes to the magazine: "I will say that I'm happier than I've ever been. And I feel very lucky right now." When nudged as to why she feels so fortunate, Wiig divulges, "Where I am now. Who he is. Those are the two big ones."

Where Wiig is right now is a new chapter of her life – she left SNL after 7 years, which is exactly how long she wanted to remain a cast member. "I know a lot of people probably assume, 'Oh, she's leaving because she is going to be doing movies now and things like that,' which I will be," Wiig said. "But I just always knew it was going to be seven and that was it." Kristen Wiig: Male Strippers Turned 'Bridesmaids' Cast Into BFFs

The 38-year-old actress explains that "maybe if I were 22, I could see myself staying a little bit, but it just felt like the right time."

Perhaps her departure from SNL means she's thinking about settling down with her man. Let's face it – dating someone whose schedule is as hectic as SNL's rehearsals has to be a little trying. So, leaving the show behind is definitely a step in the right direction for Wiig and Moretti's relationship.

Just last week, Wiig brought Moretti as her date to her Bridesmaids co-star Ellie Kemper's wedding. In fact, the event was one of their first public outings together and they were photographed holding hands, even though they've been dating for months. Photos: 'The Office' Star Ellie Kemper Ties The Knot In NYC!

Will their seemingly awesome relationship last? We hope so!
