Your man – friend or enemy?

Spark is gone from your relationships. But that is fine. Nobody has a spark after about 2 years into relationships, right?
Have you ever tried to be just friends? No, not that kind of friends…

Best friends.
Do you remember how you could talk for hours about life and never get bored? His ideas were so refreshing and differed to yours and you just loved it.
Here is the most powerful and actionable recipe to get the spark back: reinstate him as your best friend.
How would you act if your man was a colleague you liked, friend you admired, a relative you respected? Talk, listen, smile and compliment, right? Same applies. Start discussing the things that interest him. Start asking him his likes and dislikes again. They might have changed since you talked last about it, especially if it was many years ago.
Have a deep meaningful conversation with him tonight. Not about bread, not about how terrible he was to your mother. No. Talk about tomorrow, not the day after today, but the tomorrow as in 3 years from now. Talk about your common goals and dreams, meaning of life for you and for him. Brainstorm creative parenting strategies, so you are the united front next time you face any problem with your children. Or even discuss what does he think about aliens and ghosts?
Just a meaningful conversation.
It costs nothing, so you do not have an excuse that you do not have money. If you do not have energy, charge up your batteries, skip on washing dishes but have the conversation or do the dishes together and talk. It is much more important. If you do not have time, make it 15 minutes. The only possible excuse is he is out of town (you still can talk on the phone though).
So, no excuses, just do it tonight.
Take him outside for a walk, look up in the sky together, feel how little we all are in this huge Universe and talk as you used to talk.
Listening, not interrupting, respecting and loving.
He would be so happy to achieve anything for you as long as you are supporting and loving him and not picking on him for dirty dishes or unbuttoned shirt.
Your man needs your approval, support, love and inspiration more than anyone around you. So, just give it to him.
