Lindsay Lohan and Grant Bowler: Liz & Dick
Brand new photos from Lifetime's "Liz & Dick" movie are giving us our first look at LiLo as Liz.

The buzzed about Lifetime biopic about the epic love story of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton is officially underway, which means photos of Lindsay Lohan portraying the late icon are starting to surface ... and now we get to analyze them!

The 26-year-old troubled starlet was first spotted in full wardrobe on Monday when shooting of Liz & Dick kicked off aboard a yacht in Marina del Ray. E! Online snapped a photo, which shows LiLo in a leopard-print bathing suit with those iconic, Liz Taylor cat-eye sunnies and long, dark hair. The actress looked calm, cool and confident, and even the TV movie's executive producer Larry Thompson remarked that she's "more than ready" for this career-resurrecting role. 5 Things About Lindsay Lohan's SNL Hosting Gig That Bothered Us

"She is the star," he told  E! News.

On the same day, TMZ obtained a different photo of Lohan, this time in full makeup with her own hair cut short and dyed to match Liz's infamous 'do. She's shown sitting in a chair off-set in a vintage style dress, something we usually don't see her in. But, she looks good!

Finally, this morning the first official photo from Liz & Dick was released – a black-and-white shot of Lindsay in the arms of her co-star, hunky True Blood star Grant Bowler, as he softly kisses her neck as Richard Burton (Taylor's fifth husband and co-star in Cleopatra). It's a classy shot and by far the most telling in terms of whether or not LiLo can pull off this transformation into a beloved Hollywood icon. Thanks to the magic of hair, makeup and presumably a bit of Photoshop, at first glance she really does look like Elizabeth Taylor!

Usually we're not one to watch Lifetime movies, but we feel the need to catch Liz & Dick when it airs November 3 to see how Lindsay does – especially now that we've had our first glimpses, and also because Larry Thompson says the movie "will definitely have as much sex as Lifetime will allow."

Sheesh! Good luck, LiLo, the world will be watching!

Tell us: do you think Lindsay Lohan resembles Elizabeth Taylor in this photo? Do you think she'll do a good job in Liz & Dick?
