The proud new mom and her daughter pose for People, and Jessica dishes on life after baby.
The cute, pudgy baby on the cover of the latest issue of People is Maxwell, Jessica Simpson's new pride and joy!
The proud mama, 31, and her newborn daughter posed for the camera for their first public photos since Maxwell Drew Johnson was born on May 1. The highly anticipated photos reportedly went for $800,000. Finally! Jessica Simpson Gives Birth To A Baby Girl
"We stare at her all the time," Simpson tells the magazine about her and her fiancé, Eric Johnson. "We can't get enough!"
The new mom also explains that now "life has completely changed. From how I sleep to what I think about, Maxwell has definitely taken over everything!"
In the issue (on newsstands Friday), Simpson also explains that she wants to marry Johnson by the end of the year (a date of 12/12/12 has been going around the rumor mill), but that she won't walk down the aisle if she's not happy with her appearance. The successful designer/singer/actress gained a significant amount of weight during her pregnancy, and has partnered with Weight Watchers to get back into shape.
Though, her weight is far from her first priority right now. Right now, nursing baby Maxwell is "a full-on job" for Simpson, which she couldn't be happier about. "It's the worst if I have to pump and give Eric a bottle to give her," she tells People. "I miss holding her and having that closeness."
Congrats to the new parents!
