What a terrible problem Kelly Clarkson has – she's so head-over-heels in love with her boyfriend, talent manager Brandon Blackstock, that she can't seem to crank out her signature "angry girl" hit songs anymore!
The 30-year-old singer and star of the upcoming ABC singing competition show, Duets, recently admitted to People that her lovey-dovey status is taking a toll on her career.
"It is killing me," Clarkson says. "I'm trying to write a tough song and it is coming out like butterflies and rainbows ... It is ruining my creativity. I'm writing all this happy (stuff)."
She met the man responsible for all these meddlesome butterflies and rainbows back in late 2011 through her manager Narvel Blackstock, who happens to be Brandon's father. Clarkson first announced that she was dating Brandon this March. Kelly Clarkson Is Single No More! Details On Her New Man
That's great that the first American Idol winner has time for a relationship now, but her fans may not feel the same way, and Clarkson knows it.
"People are going to be, like, 'What the hell happened to you?'" she says of the different, unfamiliar tune she's been singing. "It has been really difficult. I love it. It's an awesome problem to have."
